Absolutely stunning location the patio area outside our room was just perfect for sitting and looking across the South Downs. There were many different areas to sit both inside or out to have a drink/meal all with the same beautiful view that we never got fed up looking at.

It wS a very hot night and I could only open one window. When I did open that window the noise of a fan next time my window was loud. The staff could have been more welcoming on reception. Breakfast staff were great.

Upstairs room was very hot with noisy A/C unit outside. Staff very helpful and moved us to a downstairs room that was cooler and without the noise.

Did feel it was expensive for what it was tho. No toiletries for the shower. Very poor wifi coverage too.

Although our room was comfortable and clean. It could do with extra lighting and a chair for the dressing table. The room was very hot in the night.

We liked the outdoor area which over looked large expanse of countryside.

Only criticism is there wasn’t a lot of light in the room.

Very clean, comfortable rooms and nice and quiet overnight. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking at the property.

The breakfast, starting at 08:30 is a little late especially if there are things to do. Staff tried to overcome this with some croissants but breakfast would have been god

The bathroom is a little tight.

Good location and there's a bus stop next to it which could have been useful. The food was lovely and a little different in the evening. Breakfast was wonderful too. Very peaceful.

Breakfast could have been a lot quicker, perhaps they need to not cook everything from scratch? Breakfast staff a touch sharp.

Noisy road. Poor soundproofing. Pub closes very early, esp Sunday night as early as 9pm. Food good, but limited choice and the same each day. Poor lighting in room and the bathroom especially. No where to hang a towel near the bath/shower.

Beautiful location with stunning views. Lovely breakfast, with a good choice and great quality. Very friendly and helpful staff, made me very welcome and provided everything I asked for. Comfortable bed. Good tea/coffee facilities in room with biscuits and bottled water provided. Lovely fragranced botanical toiletries. Large, soft bath towels.

We received a friendly welcome on arrival and were shown to our room, which was clean and good value for money. Breakfast and super were both excellent and the amazing views added to the whole experience . Staff were professional and friendly. We would definitely recommend The Welldiggers.

Service in the dining room was rather slow eg. for breakfast it took a long time after ordering coffee before it arrived. We did wait much longer than expected for our evening meal to be served too.

The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty and well presented. We enjoyed the view from the dining room and the staff were friendly and helpful.
