Deluxe room with sea view lived up to expectations- gorgeous outlook over beach to Arran. Very large room with such a comfy bed. Breakfast was fantastic, enjoyed our stay.

Hard to find fault although there was dog poop on the lawn. Alot of dogs.

A relaxing break in wonderful location. Spent a day in the fabulous gardens and a walk along the beach. Had lunch and drinks in the garden. Lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent with friendly service.

Nothing at all not to love

A beautiful experience, fantastic food, beautiful extremely clean rooms, lovely staff, the beach is on your doorstep, very dog friendly, and even a bed and two little dog bowls in your room, fantastic atmosphere. We can not wait to come back.

Some of the restaurant staff were inexperienced and they were short on numbers. (They all did their very best though)

The only thing we were not keen on was people were allowed to let their dogs sit on the seats in the bar.

The room was very comfortable with a great view, Breakfast and dinner were both very good with plenty choices.

The Bed's, I didn't get a very good sleep on them (twin room). They were very bouncy and noisy (no support). However, I said to staff when I left the hotel, as I'm a straight to point person. They had a chance to chat with me on this, and everything was explained very well to me. I also have a back and hip condition, so what didn't work for me, might be different for someone else though. It wouldn't stop me going back in the near future. The lift wasn't working on Day 1, but I managed the stairs with carefulness and taking my time. The lift was fixed very quickly for Day 2!

The view won this stay at hotel for me. The hotel being on the beach at a good cost for room was brilliant. The hotel is very doggy orientated too, and although I do have a dog, she wasn't with me on this occasion. I've recommended it to my friend who has two small dogs, and they also love the beach. The dining area was so lovely - the breakfasts were on point too with lots of choices. On the floor to the rooms, there were atrium type lounges with additional TV, that were wrapped around those rooms, and even open air ones too. For me, it's a lovely piece of unusual architecture to what looks like a normal building from outside.

Only improvement would be an accessible HDMI input for the TV, loose lead or socket as I like to use screen for admin when away working. I am looking forward to taking Mrs Mac for a short break at some stage soon

Setting and rooms are exceptional, fit out is to a very high standard and the staff are friendly with the breakfast team doing a fab job. I was visiting Hunterston B for work and it’s an easy trip up the road in less than 15 mins

We had the window open at night and the breeze caused the room door to rattle a bit.

We were given an unexpected upgrade to a superior room which was lovely and much appreciated. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner in the evening was well presented and tasty as was the breakfast.

Seating arrangement in dining room was our issue again.. No choice given. Other table seating requests denied. Feel shoved into the same corner every time we visit. Cold atmosphere from staff.

Room was lovely. Very clean. Kept patio windows open all night, to allow sound of sea. Great sleep. Views excellent. Spa bath was great. Food was great. Reception staff very helpful.

Food wasn't great, very underdone. Haddock for breakfast was virtually raw and other items were under too. Duvet in need of replacing as it felt as though it was starting to break down
