Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSome Noisy Guests, due to this being old student accommodation all the doors are fire doors which is a good thing but a lot of the guests who were in our block kept coming in and out and slamming the doors or standing out side in the parking area talking very loudly under guests windows. so struggled to settle the first night and sleep, second night wasnt as bad dont know if some left or were out for the night unsure. but to be honest everything else was fine! oh and was gutted i didnt get a waterfront view !! lol!! :(
John who welcomed us and gave us our keys was lovely and very friendly!! I was very anxious about a few things and he put my mind at ease! , Thank you!! Location was ideal for what we needed it for loads of stuff was near by too! such as Morrison's, Lidl, Hungry horse (Fab food lovely staff) and 2 small retail parks! 1 was walking distance, one was a bit further out but still very local!, leisure center was also walking distance too!, nice waterfront location (cold but lovely), boat dock area too and lovely walking routes also local to bus routes and train station! <3 1 MAIN thing I was really happy to hear was it was a very secure place, locked rooms, password doors & CCTV for it being in such an open location that made me feel safer, also being super close to the police station! (be warned if your here at weekends it can be busy! lol! with sirens!) but just make sure you shut the door into the blocks firmly! this would be the main door i would only be firm with! as sometimes other guests forgot to do this and it would be left open.

United KingdomThere were a few dodgy-looking characters hanging around outside when we arrived, and a bit of noise overnight from voices, and from doors opening and closing, although nothing too bad. The only real criticism I'd have is that the shower was stone cold: I don't know if it would eventually have heated up, but we were short of time in the morning so after running it for a good few minutes I gave up.
The bedroom was a decent size, and the fact that it was right at the end of the corridor probably helped avoid any major noise issues. The bed was comfortable, and the view from the room, over the water, was pleasant. Having the use of the kitchen was helpful. The janitor guy who let us in was very pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomShower was a bit temperamental regarding setting the temperature and turning it on and off, but it’s workable with a bit of patience. The hot tap was running extremely hot, I did report this as you couldn’t wash under it without filling the basin with cold water as well.
Ideally situated for the riverside, railway station and shops including two large supermarkets. Very comfortable bed, room nice and warm with heater controlled by the occupants. Good facilities in the room including kettle, so you don’t need to use the communal kitchen (one on each floor), but it’s there if you want it. Fantastic views from the rooms that face the “waterfront”. Pleasant area to walk around, feels very safe. Office staff for the block very helpful and welcoming.

New ZealandIt's a large complex and double locking doors gave the impression it could be unsafe. That seems a contradiction that having locks or needing locks made it seem unsafe, but it wasn't a problem.
The view was fantastic and the cooking and dining space was more than I expected. Good parking and very central for the train and supermarket.

United KingdomIt did say it was not 5 star but was very clean. The room had a kettle, coffee, tea, milk and some individually wrapped biscuits. There was a large kitchen but no crockery or utensils. The caretaker was very pleasant and helpful. I would stay again if in the area.

United KingdomThe bathroom was a wet room which meant water ended up everywhere within the bathroom. Although I don't mind this, this could irritate some people. Although the rooms were clean and tidy they looked a little outdated and could do with modernising.
The room was basic but it had all the essentials for a nights or a couple of days stay. The bed was comfy and the room was tidy. The view from the room I stayed in was great. I had a view of the waterfront and the mountains in the background. The location was peaceful and so therefor I had a good nights rest. The town that it was located in had a bit of history to it so an evening walk around on a Sunday was enjoyable. The staff were very accommodating and I felt safe and secure in the building with several locking systems to get into the building and onto my floor.

United KingdomThe mattress was a bit cheap and thin, so much so that sitting down suddenly on the bed, I literally bumped my bottom on the hard bottom of the bed. Although it was fine when I lay down, and soft, although people who like a firm mattress won’t love it. Also while the side and outer walls are solid and quiet, the inner wall and door are so thin, you could easily hear every word spoken and footstep in the corridor through the door. Which isn’t best with people coming and going early and late. Particularly notable with a loud American group staying in the room opposite. The kitchen could use a few more plates and utensils, although there are also locked cupboards there but how this worked this wasn’t explained to me, although I was only there one night.
It’s secure, with several code-doors and sturdy locks. The inauspicious building has a clean and tastefully decorated interior. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was warm, clean and tidy, and the kitchen space large and well kept. Generally it was a pretty nice place to stay for a quick overnight.
