The room was smelly and dirty.The dining chairs were very badly stained, the sink was also stained and the sofa smelt. The balcony had a champagne cork foil and cigarette ends on the floor. We went to see the lady on reception and she said she would get the room recleaned but we didn't want to stay. I wouldn't recommend staying in room 33 duplex apartment. We ended up booking into a hotel for our holiday.

lift is still out of order as you will see from previous reviews earlier in the months we paid for a downstairs room which cost considerably more than the first floor room allocated when we arrived not good when the lift isn’t working with your luggage . No explanation given for change of room and only noticed when I checked the booking on checkout the difference in price

furniture in the room was very old and shabby. elevator was broken. tiles in the bathroom were broken and unprofessionally repaired. overall poor maintenance of the property.

shockingly poor room, stained and dirty. ludicrously over priced. in no way was this accommodation luxury. we drove over two hours to get there, we didn't even stay an hour, rather than even stay one night, we got straight back into the car and drove home. completely catfished. room looked nothing like the pictures on the site

The bathroom was a little dated and we would have really liked a bath (we had just walked a marathon so would have liked to have soaked our sore legs!) Also would have been nice to have a more modern TV where we could access Netflix or another streaming service.

text messaging service was very easy to communicate with reception and they were very prompt in answering queries. The kitchen was very well equipped for making ourselves tea. The grounds were very well maintained and everything was clean.

Everything was perfect and only wish we could have stayed longer

Hotel room included a kitchenette,with microwave,hob, fridge,kettle,great bathroom with good shower and twin sinks , very comfortable bed with a bed settee at the end to watch tv , separate small table for dining. Lovely restaurant with stunning views ,like your on an African safari ! Outside entertainment including draughts and chess boards , crazy golf , inside spa and swimming pool (forgot to take trunks !, )

Lights from outside came directly into our bedroom. Ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room the first night. Spoke to reception the day after who got the lights switched off for the next night.

Lift was broken apparently engineer called but we stayed x4 days & no one repaired it. Pool table in bar/lounge was out of order. Restaurant times differed from advertised (apparently only x1 chef)! We upgraded to a suite - Outside - balcony filthy, cobwebs everywhere, floor tiles dirty & sticky, weeds growing, railing stain all peeling off, bird poo & only x2 chairs. Inside - hairs in shower, bed mattress springs poking through, cream lampshades were all stained & dirty, push button to open microwave broken, freezer compartment door handle broken. Accommodation requires attention.

Range of facilities was quite good (if working). Bedding was nice quality.

Only downside is that the car park is a short walk from reception, although we could offload our luggage by reception. The restaurant only serves meals from 4pm with lunch only available on Sundays. Didn’t eat there as we prefer to eat lunchtime and we were out each day.

Well thought out for self catering. Had everything you needed, even dishwasher tablets and tea towel. Cooking was on a 2 ring electric stove or microwave oven. You will need your own shower gel and shampoo as only soap in bathroom. We liked that there was a sofa to watch TV and a separate dining area. Our Ullswater suite was in the main building and had a patio with chairs and table overlooking fields. The pool, hot tub and gym are near reception and has a sauna and steam room. Everywhere was clean and there are recycling bins by the car park.

Good location easy to access from motorway and great for exploring the Lake District. Nice clean suite with generally decent facilities,could do with an oven & grill for cooking. 2 ring hob a bit limiting.

Room very comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed. Nice pool, hot tub and sauna. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Handy location for exploration of the northern Lake District. Good policy re promoting sustainability. Pleasant hotel/apartment complex.
