Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only downfall was the stairs up to our ensuite room, which unfortunately is on the top floor, rooms on the lower floors have shared bathrooms.
Breakfast was a help yourself continental style, everything you could want was supplied. Tracy was super helpfull and friendly. The room was warm, clean and the bed really comfortable. I slept better than at home.

United KingdomI was just unlucky, that they've been resurfacing the road overnight, so it was a lot noisier than on a "quiet" night.
Very practical if you are staying in Aylesbury for work. Perfect for those who just need a shower and a place to sleep but don't want to pay triple the cost of a Holiday Inn room. The landlady was very nice and helpful and she will try to help out with any queries (thank you for the vacuum cleaner :) )It's a classic townhouse, so expect stairs, especially if you carry a big suitcase. Parking available in front of the house (street parking) or behind it, space for 4 cars, but need to be mindful of who leaves when in the morning, otherwise you could get blocked in. The kitchen is in the basement and it spacious with all amenities you could need for a breakfast or to eat your take-away dinner. The breakfast is continental basic, but can see that the landlady tries to vary the pastries. My room was a single bed (wow, long time since I've slept in one of these) room, it was clean and cosy with the window onto the main road.

GreeceNot having any staff member on site was a bit odd but was not necessary, given the clear in-person briefing by the owner on arrival.
Breakfast was self service with a range of breakfast cereals available and bread to toast (also petits pains au chocolat in packets). The kitchen and dining area were very roomy and well equipped. I am a light sleeper and really appreciated having the back bedroom, given that the B&B is on a major entry road to the town and has considerable traffic even at night. A minute's walk away is a large Tesco's and just the other side of that access to a picturesque canal path.

United KingdomThe fact that I had to share toilet. I knew it in advance and everything was kept spotlessly clean by the owner of the place in her daily visits but still... this is something beyond me and I'll try to avoid it in the future.
The breakfast was done by visitors but all the necessary ingredients were provided and there was also good variety and all electrical appliances and utensils. The accommodation is very close to the city centre and you can easily go there walking. There is a busy road next to it but the windows had good sound insulation.

United KingdomThe radiator did not warm the room and as i was referring a tournament and got fairly wet it would have been helpful. The main reason for the average marking was not so much the facilities but the noise from other guests, mainly going to Silverstone banging and crashing around before 6am in the morning. Late at night they were also very loud given that they were middle aged and had no respect for others was poor, my advice, avoid British Grand Prix dates.
The ease of use and the beds were comfortable, the breakfast provided was excellent and the room was very spacious and clean

PakistanI didn't like leaving, after spending 6 nights here, I felt like leaving home. We were comfortable there.
I've been to 3 and 4 star hotels in Dubai, and to be honest, I wasn't expecting that much cleanliness in here, but to my surprise, the kitchen, bathroom, room was very clean. The sheets and the towels felt soft and smelled great. Kitchen and dining area had a variety of yummy croissants, breads and the fridge had cheese and flavored yogurt collection that we liked. Not to mention the fruits, as we are conscious about healthy diet, I wish we were able to cook as well. I stayed with my husband, and it felt like home.
