Beautifully refurbished room. It felt so clean and new! Great value for money. A perfect spot to explore North Norfolk from. Great food in the restaurant. Friendly staff. We will definitely return.

The towels had a rather unwashed musty smell to them and didn’t want to use them on my face. There was also 4 or so flys in the breakfast room that kept landing on me and the food, but that’s no one’s fault. Maybe a big zapper should be in the room.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!!!! A one night stay on 3 day bed and breakfast crawl in Norfolk. Staff were exceptional in every way. Greeting on arrival to the rooms and the amazing evening meal and breakfast. Full English was spot on, quality of ingredients, fresh and hot. Pancakes with a fruit selection and honey, and or syrup. As always in hospitality staffing is an issue but you would never know with the service, not just us but everyone got. Front of house staff were attentive and helpful but not to excess. Shame could only give 5 stars.

Remaking of beds,replenishing milk/tea/etc, and cleaning bathroom was a bit random.

The road noise. Although only occasional traffic, with the roof lights open at night the sound of a vehicle was magnified.

Great location for exploring Norfolk, lovely garden, relaxed atmosphere, tasty food and friendly staff. Room was well appointed, comfortable and attractive decor.

Friday evening meal, think there was a lack of communication between staff and we waited a long time before being asked about desserts menu.

Ideal perfect for the north Norfolk area attractions. Staff - especially Charles/Charlie was awesome.

Nothing to dislike. Advise to spin round or turn over mattresses n the excellent quality beds so that the same edge is not constantly sat in the same place.

There was a bad damp smell coming from the bathroom, we opened the window as it was very pungent. Found it alittle strange that someone was hooving the area just off the breakfast area while we were having breakfast, we all commented on this

Bar and restaurant closes 4:00pm Sunday and pub closes 5:00pm Sunday. Booking.com did not inform about that.

Good spacious rooms, clean, comfortable and up to date. A good car park. Relatively quiet. The staff that we most saw were Charles and Trudy and their customer service skills were above and beyond. Thank you.

Two points for feedback: a plug socket next to the dressing table & mirror would be handy and brown (or an alternative to white) bread available for breakfast.

The Room A lovely, well laid out room, came with refreshments, 2 free Easter eggs and bathroom toiletries; which was a nice extra touch. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Location It is set in a very rural location so it was peaceful; there was not much traffic and my wake up view was a field of cows...who obviously weren't morning cows as they were very quiet. It's not far from towns (like Holt) so if (like me) you can't go anywhere in the UK without visiting a Joules shop, you're never too far from one (or two) here!! Facilities There is ample parking at the property and a pretty outdoor patio garden. The pub itself serves food and drink (check opening times as these differ on bank holidays) and there are other local feeding options in the form of pubs and takeaways around. The breakfast was delicious and there are plenty of options as well as cooked food from toast to a full English and the staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help you.
