Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel's location overlooking the River Teifi is stunning with a lovely beer garden where you can eat, drink and enjoy the view and it is only a short walk from Poppit Sands. Our room had a conservatory which was a lovely surprise so we could enjoy the view whatever the weather. The hotel has a lot of rooms, of very good size and the standard of decoration, facilities and cleanliness throughout is high. It was great to have a comfortable, attractive bar and restaurant on the ground floor. The food and drinks were very good and we particularly enjoyed the Continental Breakfast which featured fresh local ingredients. We really enjoyed our weekend there. Llyr and his staff were friendly and welcoming and we thought the whole experience was great value for money. We will definitely return to this gem in a beautiful corner of the world.

United KingdomSome time during the night something like pumps started at the back of the hotel and gave a low droning noise for the rest of the night ? This made a good nights sleep difficult I'm afraid ?
It was all new with very high quality furniture and fittings . Staff were friendly and helpful . Craft beer was nice and food was good .

United Kingdomroom 401 has a somewhat restricted view as i'd paid extra for sea view.
Bit misleading in description when it says great breakfast and it turns out you have to pay as it only includes continental breakfast. our original room had a restricted view but LLyr the GM was excellent and got us moved to room for second day with much better view as we'd paid for sea view. All in all excellent location, nice helpful staff and will probably return.

United KingdomNothing really, car park could be nicer / tarmacked but only from a fussy car owner point of view!
The hotel was very clean & tidy. Spacious rooms, bed was huge & very comfy! WiFi provided was great, TV provided lots of information about surroundings. The fridge in the room was handy! View was lovely, waking up to see the Welsh Waves! Upon a long late night drive, the drive staff were very friendly, welcoming & accomdating. We ate in The Teifi restaurant one night the food & drinks were nice, reasonable price & fab views! Would 100% recommend & be looking to come back in the future as visit friends in the town regularly.

United KingdomThe food in the restaurant and for us was the worst part of our stay ( we found menu dull and quality average) Generally we found this to be common in cafes and restaurants in Pembrokeshire The best we had was in St David's bay area ( The Wild Emporium ) but it was very pricey We had a refund for a steak which was tough but here was no fuss over the refund and they gave us a free dessert.
Just what we needed after 4 days further south Glamping and surfing. Best part to the room was the extra lounge area off the bedroom as well as having a balcony Perfect for doing yoga overlooking the beach We could swim in the sea close by too Reception staff staff and cleanliness were outstanding ( in particular we loved Katia from Czec republic who looked after housekeeping and restaurant ) and the Front of house manager whose name escapes me both went out of their way to make our stay The hotel has recently has a face lift and so everything felt new ( apart from pub/restaurant which needs an overhaul )

United KingdomFor the price, the location and food is good. There is building work ongoing but there is no noise to speak of and everyone is polite
Good location to relax and chill out. Staff are really friendly, polite and helpful. This is just the place to stay if you want to relax and unwind in a quiet area. Food was limited but good, and they have a good stock of craft beers but the wine is in single serve bottles . The beer garden as seen in the pictures is the perfect place to be on a warm summers evening I would deffinatly return

IrelandBeautifully located hotel with stunning views over Poppit Sands (though our balcony in fact looked out over the car park!). The staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. Our family room was very comfortable and even more spacious than we had expected - a good size for three, and the divider between the two parts of the room was a nice touch, giving our teenage son a bit of privacy. Everything was spotlessly clean. Very nice breakfast, with a good choice both on the buffet and the menu (particularly excellent vegetarian cooked breakfast). Our only real quibble was that the breakfast buffet was running a bit low by the time we came down, a good hour before the end of the advertised time. Otherwise, though, everything was perfect - would definitely stay here again.

United KingdomNothing!
I have stayed at hundreds of hotels, apartments and guest houses over the years many via Booking.com. Almost all these stays were excellent, and very satisfactory. However my stay at the Teifi Waterside Hotel tops the lot, it was better than excellent. I was slightly concerned about the hotel as I had driven past a couple of years ago and it did look a little tired and old fashioned from the outside. The recent building work and refurbishment have really improved everything about the hotel and bar. Throughout our visit every member of staff was incredibly polite, happy, helpful and friendly. Interior decoration looked brand new, finished to a high-class standard and our room had everything we needed including a private conservatory and amazing view. The bar downstairs offered a delicious and tasty menu, and the locally brewed beer was delightful. Continental breakfast was more than sufficient for us, it had everything.
