The history of the venue. When travelling we want to stay somewhere where we can have an evening meal and breakfast. The food was good and plentiful.

Breakfast wasn’t the best. Wrong cooked order given and a long wait, think it was due to a misunderstanding between staff. However soon solved.

We loved that we were in a pub but it was quiet. Accommodated us and our dog who settled well.

Lots of amazing things in the pub itself, but probably could do with a sort out in places.

A very authentic pub, if a little worn in places. Really enjoyed the beer from their own microbrewery, and the breakfast was delicious. A great stop off on the Worcestershire Way, situated on the riverside, a very beautiful area.

Excellent old feel to the rooms and the pub - food was very good. Nice personal service from the owner who was happy to find us a different location for an anniversary dinner as well as arrange taxi service. Excellent touch!!

The Chef. Our party of 6, all aged over 66, stayed 2 nights and ate in the pub both nights. The first meal was good but we pointed out that the 5 chicken curries we ordered on the second night, although tasty, contained very little chicken. The chef spoke to us, but appeared angry and was unapologetic. He said he had looked in the pot and there was chicken in it, which seems to suggest that someone did not stir the pot before dishing out the curry.

A very nice Inn, in a quiet location but near the main road. The staff in the main were very pleasant.

Beds and not letting anyone stay in room above bar.

Breakfast was brilliant food was brill, room needs updating beds uncomfortable also should state that the deluxe is really not deluxe also you are above the bar area so you hear everyone below talking and doors shutting so expect to get to sleep late.would not stay here again for that reason .

I have stayed here a number of times on my way back to Aberystwyth from shows or events in the Midlands. It is ideally situated to break my journey after a hard weekend of work, just travelling this far from the show rather than driving tired and into the night. Fabulous food, friendly staff and good wine or beer. What is not too like!

Very friendly, family run, comfy and individual. Lovely breakfast, great food and menu. I enjoyed the local beer, and the atmosphere was rural and authentic. I liked that it wasn't a generic chain pub, and that it had it's own character.

The reality is that its a very old building and needs a bit of TLC; the shower didnt work, but there was a bath. I found the taps hard to turn on and off, but we managed. It is what it is and probably good enough for what I paid.

The food served in the evening was homemade and delicious. The breakfast was made to order and also lovely. There was plenty hot water and the bed was fairly comfy. It was close to where I had to travel

    I loved it.

This was one of the nicest country inns we have stayed in. Big open fire. Beer made on the premises. Dinner menu had new and seasonal choices which were delicious. Homemade bread, 3 types of home-made preserves and own black pudding for breakfast. We picked wild damsons that also featured on the menu. Big enclosed garden for kids. Quirky beer garden with champagne bottle sculpture. Monthly farmers market on the premises, beer festival once a year.
