Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo complaints.
Staff were super friendly even before we arrived, they were really helpful in recommending a taxi driver to us for our stay. They remembered our request for an early check in and were really accommodating. Room was really clean and comfortable for our 1 night stay. We missed the breakfast slot in the morning but the lady on reception said she would sort us out breakfast and we had a fab full English which was great. Really recommend this place, it far exceeded our expectations and would definitely stay again if we are in the area. Perfect location if you're attending any events at Bredenbury court barns only 15 min drive away

United KingdomRoom was extremely dated. Beds very uncomfortable! No replenishing of tea & coffee. Stayed 2 nights - but room wasn't cleaned. Ironing board was snapped - so ironed across the beds. Photos are very deceiving/cleverly edited - so dont see real room!!. Thought I must have booked wrong hotel when I'd checked in.
Outside area was great. Evening meal was lovely - but very expensive -£19 for fish and chips!.

United KingdomLoved being at The Talbot. Always wanted to stay there. I am local but was walking the Worcester Way over three days so it was a lovely pitstop and surpassed our expectations. The evening meal was very good but rather large portion so we could have shared!

United KingdomUpstairs area is very uneven due to the age of the building. The bedroom was sloped and exceptionally uneven making it unpleasant to walk around in. Access to the bedrooms area was up a very steep difficult staircase and even more difficult with a suitcase. In view of the beautiful location the outlook from the window was a great disappointment being dominated by a large black flat roof, if you get a front facing bedroom I expect the view would be great. The bed was not particularly comfortable. In view of the stairs/upstairs issues I would not stay there again.
Beautiful location in a very attractive rural part of Worcestershire. Food was excellent. Dining area modern and attractive with great view Bar area pleasant with historic character. Beautiful outside public areas.

United KingdomThe welcome was not as we would have hoped. We arrived just after lunch on Sunday and we seemed to be an inconvenience, the lady behind the bar was rude and dismissive. We were shown to our rooms , we had asked for 2 rooms together. They were adequate however the light switch in the bathroom wouldn’t go off and my partner and I had to be moved to the other side of the building. We stayed for 2 nights the first mornings breakfast was very disappointing. Poached egg was hard boiled, one piece of soggy streaky bacon, half a large mushroom , tomato beans fried potato and bread and black pudding. On the upside the bread was delicious. The first evening we decided to eat in, again the food was very disappointing and over priced, obviously microwaved, the lasagne was dried up. I had game pie which could only be described as glorified pork pie. £19 was extortionate. £17 for microwaved lasagne . The table was sticky and there was a sticker on the table that could at least have been removed.
The location and look of the pub was lovely

United Kingdomnothing all was great
we walked 20 miles along the Worcestershire Way from Bewdley to the Talbot and it was worth every step. a great old fashioned pub, with a bar and separate dining area. they have their own brewery ’Teme Valley’ and bakery. on arrival we received a very friendly welcome from the staff and locals, a great atmosphere. The food was very tasty and good value. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. spacious bathroom with a large bath with piping hot water, with shower overhead. an excellent breakfast the following morning set us up for our 12 mile walk to Malvern. We’ve walked the Worcestershire way a few times but this was the first time we’ve stayed at the Talbot, but it won’t be the last time.

Such a beautiful place and the history is embraced which is fantastic! The staff were brilliant and very friendly. The food was incredible. We were staying there as we were going to a wedding, we checked out Sunday morning but we loved it so much we booked another night Sunday afternoon. The whole place was clean and inviting, a stunning building. We would absolutely stay here again! I really must thank the staff again, they were great!
