A sanitary towel had been left in toilet so obviously hadn't been cleaned. Venetian blinds were all broken. Sticky surface....cup actually stuck to it. Only tea bags in room but staff did let us have some coffee and milk. Ivy was growing through vent in hallway. I think bedding was clean but certainly not ironed. Supposed to be a garden view but overlooked carpark. Quite shabby accommodation on the whole.

Location was good, bed was comfortable and nice hot water. Also staff were pleasant.

There were bugs in the room that resembled flying ants climbing over us in the bed, got photos of them climbing over my daughter in her sleep (of course I got them off her). Curtains didn’t close properly, floodlight of carpark right over bedroom window. Blinds broke. Small black pet like hairs all over bedding. Kettle smelt awful. Tv signal kept braking up, WiFi connection was poor. Front of house windows boarded up from what it looks like they've been smashed, same for one of the bedrooms. Could hear everything from other rooms. £5 for two tiny cokes that tasted like rola cola. Would have left but there wasn’t any close enough hotels to book last minute as we were staying for a competition in the area.

A proper kettle would be better than the contraption that was there! A check should have been done prior to me arriving as there was no toilet roll, cup, coffee or milk; toilet roll, mug and milk was quickly brought to my room when matter raised. A bedside light for reading would be better than having the lamp in the far corner under the TV (too big to move!). Although the room and bathroom were clean some attention needed to the paintwork etc, particularly the bathroom.

Good, basic room with en suite shower and toilet, television and tea making facilities. Able to park my car in pub car park. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff very friendly.

Doors were not the most solid meaning I could hear a fair amount of sound from other rooms / hallway No one to pass the key too when checking out so had to simply leave it in the room

Weird coffee/ hot water machine in room....drink tasted funny so didnt drink. Invest in a normal kettle. Replace pull cord in bathroom, its very filthy. Clean the sink, it had someones hair in it Maybe have 2 toilet rolls instead of just 1. Wifi doesn't work in bedroom Pub open till 2amFriday night so loud music could be heard in bedroom

The room was accessed through the pub, which had music playing till after midnight, and customers wandering around right outside our room till very late at night. The window (ground floor) opened onto the car park, which was also full of customers. Far too noisy to sleep, and didn't feel at all safe. We also found out in the morning that the fire door was open all night, leading directly outside our room.

The shower was very dirty as in black mould in the tiles, the carpet was stained, No glass in toilet to swill mouth after brushing your teeth, No shower gel in dispenser in the shower

Being locked in the room twice over & having to shout at a customer out of the bedroom window to tell the bar staff that we was locked in as they did not answer the phone. Carpets dirty. Overall cleanliness not good. Could do with a total makeover.

where to start no milk for the drinks in the morning shower was awe full once you showered the drains smelled. The other residents were very noisy walls of the rooms are paper thin no sleep all night.

The run down state of this pub that has recently been re opened, The fact that breakfast included is advertise despite there being no provision for breakfast. This is an example of a £35 a night room being sold for far more that it should be.

The property was close to the place I was working. Bar staff were polite and tried to help.

The main option was a full English everyday. Other options available included egg or sausage butties. Tea/coffee came in a variety of cups/mugs including tin novelty mugs. Breakfast arriving on-time depended on who was preparing it.

Its location is perfect for those that are happy to walk in/out of the city centre which takes approx. 30mins depending on which way you went (e.g. direct or via the river walkway). It's also on a bus route, which we didn't use. There are lots of pubs, eating paces in between it and the city centre. Please note that the landlord and his business partner have only just taken over the pub after it was closed for sometime. They've told us that the whole place is being refurbished in the New Year.

Needs a total clean and decorating. No sanitary bin in bathroom. Rubbish bins outside the fire escape spilling over, an open invitation to vermin. To put the top hat on our stay, locked in corridor to main area where we should have had breakfast pre booked for 8.30am. Didn’t get breakfast- left via fire escape leaving bedroom key in room 3’s door
