The owner Jason is brilliant - he went above and beyond to care for us. Our taxi to take us to a wedding didn’t arrive and Jason offered to take us in his own car without charge which was so kind of him - quickly diffused lots of panic!

Limited parking during the day when restraunt open. Stairs to rooms & narrow corridor so not great for those with mobility issues.

Lovely small hotel. Staff all extremely helpful. Narrow twisty road to location but beautiful area. Would definitely return.

The pub is a lovely quirky country venue, in a lovely location. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The food was outstanding, real local produce, fresh and tasty. The room we had was spacious, clean, welcoming and comfortable, the bed was one of the comfiest we've slept in! We were attending a wedding nearby, and unfortunately the taxi we had booked did not turn up causing a slight panic that we would be late. However, James the Landlord very kindly stepped in and drove 4 of us to the venue, this ensured we didn’t miss any of the service etc. He went above and beyond and ensured our day was not spoilt. Thank you James.

This was our third stay at the Strawberry Duck and on this occasion were allocated a room without en-suite facilities. The separate bathroom is very close but across a narrow corridor which, although protected by a further door, serves as an emergency fire exit, and therefore cannot be locked. In fairness we encountered no problems but the lack of privacy was as issue.

The food is fantastic. Great service. Our breakfast was excellent. Lovely old pub. The staff were brilliant, especially Ben, nothing was to much trouble for him, always smiling. Everyone was friendly and happy. I highly recommend going there. We would most definatly go again and stay again. Great area for walking

I booked the Duck for my Dad as we had a funeral to attend, he doesn't get out much so I was worried about where to 'put him.' The staff at the Duck really made him feel welcome, they moved him to a room with a bath which was appreciated and offered to make him up sandwiches after a long emotional day. The breakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable. Thanks to all the staff for being so kind and accommodating.

The mattress in the room was a little bit soft

We’ve ate at the strawberry duck many timed, the food is always fantastic, huge portions but always impeccably cooked and presented… we stayed over this time in a very comfortable room, the breakfast was fantastic, the chef comes out to take your order and asks exactly how you like everything cooked. The bacon, sausage, eggs and black pudding are locally sourced and very good quality!
