Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomMy room seemed to be directly above the bar and it was noisy on the Friday night until close at 12pm. Parking is very hit and miss. The car park is to the side of the property but has only limited spaces, I think 7 in total. It's a bit tight to turn into and get out of so large cars may have to do a bit of maneuvering. Thankfully I managed to park on both days but parking otherwise seems to be very limited with little other options in the area. The room itself was ok and had a good size ensuite shower room with toilet and sink. 1 hanger so maybe take some spare ones. Beds were comfy but the pillows were pretty flat and only 1 to each bed. Bar food was a bit pricey. All things considered I had no complaints. Just don't expect too much and you'll be fine. I would definitely consider booking again if I happen to be needing somewhere cheap for a night or 2
Can't fault the Star Inn for food and the room was all I was expecting. It's clean, cheap and cheerful and no complaints as I knew it wasn't going to that luxurious but for a couple of nights it was comfortable enough. Bar food in the evening more or less limited to burgers and pizzas in the evening but good quality. Serves a good selection of beers etc, Plenty of tables and seating away from the bar area.

United KingdomNo option of late check out. Small room, nowhere apart from the bed to sit on. We stayed 3 nights but wouldn't stay that long again On a busy main road/tram line. No plug socket by the mirror for hair appliances. Very small tv.
The location to where we needed to be was great. Staff friendly. Food menu quite basic but food was nice , had daily specials. Close to amenities, cinema, Tesco, takeaways. Very large pub and outside area. Back entrance so no need to go through the pub to access your room.

TaiwanIn one of the rooms, the electric socket is at the back of the double bed. It would be nice to have an extended socket. We planned to leave the luggage and pick them up in the afternoon but failed because the bar is closed in the morning therefore no one is in service. Not exactly a problem, but it is better for travellers to be aware of it.
Tesco, restaurants, train and tram stations are nearby. Rooms are neat and comfortable enough.

Clean & comfortable, great shower is all I need. Location here just a short tram to cricket. Super choice of ales in the pub, warm & friendly staff.
