Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was important for a secure garden for our dog. Unfortunately, behind the cabin was not secure as it backed onto a ditch. We therefore had to keep our dog on a lead when in the garden.
Cosy, comfortable and in a good location to walk into Cromer.

United KingdomThe enclosed garden was nice but there was a gap down the side which was not ideal for the dog as there was a drop and water hidden in the overgrown area.
Excellent location. Short walk to the beach.

United KingdomWould have been a nice touch to include milk on arrival to make a drink and finalise with some flowers 🌹 or maybe wine 🍷 . It’s these small extras which make the difference between basic and better. Other than that accommodation satisfactory. 😊

The Snug was an ideal size for 2. Good off road parking which was ideal. The property is within easy walking distance of the town centre so walked into town most days. The Snug has a good size garden that is secluded and safe and meant that we could spend the evenings outside.

United KingdomThe distance from parked car and having to carry everything round the corner, was a bit of struggle (elderly). The toilet was too close to bed, no privacy and it needs a solid sliding door. The tv signal was hit and miss. Think a to do list of bus times, how to work cooker etc would be good. There was one remote type thing and not a clue what is was for. Adequate equipment, only one egg cup and could do,with small sharp knife. First time we have done this type of holiday, always had a caravan, so a steep learning curve. Lots of traffic passing but didn’t bother us. But on the whole all good
Handy for the short walk to east cliffs and town, private, nice secluded garden, comfortable, well equipped. Good public transport, handy stops nearby.

United KingdomAfter many suggestions they still haven’t put a towel rail in there. 2 T-towel hooks is all that’s needed so towels can be hung up not hanging on seats or curtain rail
Small but comfortably enough space for 2 people, all facilities at the accommodation were very good shower hot and powerful, comfy sofa

United KingdomIt was noisy, on a busy road junction and obviously near a training air base. There was spells of very loud aircraft noise. We found the setee very uncomfortable. As we were there a week it would have been useful to have a means of drying smalls and towels outside.
Parking was useful. Accommodation was spacious. Instant hot water. Good shower. Generally well equipped. Provision of bedding and towelsgreat. tv reception poor but was good to have access to iplayer.

United KingdomThe bathroom was fully functional and clean, but I was not keen on it being right near the bed area. The TV signal wasn't good, but it's fine if you can log in to Netflix and other apps.
The snug had everything you needed in the kitchen. It was clean and very cosy and only a 10 minute walk into town.

United KingdomIt would have been much better for us if the side of the cabin was fenced of so that we could leave our dogs in the garden, at present they could get to the side & into a ditch & free so we had to supervise them outside all the time. Also the gate lock was broken & needs fixing & one other thing was the shower wasn't 100% private as the screens didn't cover the whole area.
Everywhere was very clean & we had a welcome gift of some wine, chocolates & crisps which was a lovely gesture. The cabin is very well set out & had everything we needed for our holiday. It was decorated to a high standard & had some lovely touches to make it very homely.

United KingdomIt’s not in any way soundproof. There weren’t any issues but the traffic was quite loud being next to a mini roundabout. Toilet was fine but maybe don’t book this if you haven’t got to ‘bodily functions in front of each other’ point of your relationship.
The property was lovely and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. Just a short walk to the town centre and the beach. Loved the little garden space and the bed was comfy.

United KingdomOur dog is small and he went exploring the garden. He went round back of cabin and was able to get through gap to the property next door (still within 50 Cromwell). You might consider a bit of chicken wire to block the gap

United KingdomWe had one or two minor problems but these were quickly resolved by the managers of the property who were easily contacted and very receptive.
The Snug is a good quality garden room in the garden of a detached house. The accommodation is a little quirky but is very comfortable and is well equipped. Parking is in front of the main house but is easily accessible to the property. The Snug is within a fairly level 15 minute walk to Cromer and, as the description suggests, fairly close to the beach. We were very pleased with our stay at the Snug.
