Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Friendliest of staff and excellent breakfasts . Above all the cleanliness and helpful friendly staff did it for me this was my third year in a row and I will book for next year. Coming from the area although living away I have tried other hotels/ Inns that I have stayed in and this is the best.

United KingdomPersonally the bed was too hard for my liking and the toilet hand soap half way up the wall was frustrating and rather bizarre bit awkward to get to.
Location was perfect. Beautiful hotel and the balcony was fantastic. Breakfast choice is the best I've ever seen and tasty . Friendly staff and great ambience too.

United KingdomOur only criticism is that the music from the venue next door was quite loud in the room and went on until 11.30. Had we wanted an early sleep it would have been very disappointing. We were in the room closest to it. Perhaps treble glazing would help?
The breakfast was excellent. Lots of variety and choice. Good quality items on the plate. The room with the balcony was brilliant for the sea views. Everything worked well and the bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomThe self-service check in was a bit clunky in its design/operation, having a simple QR code to scan from your phone that already contains all your booking details would be faster and much better imo. A small fridge in the room would be an amazing addition.
The location is lovely, I didn't try the breakfast but went to the café next door and the food was lovely. The Seaburn Inn is dog friendly, which is great, as was the café next door. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The weather was not great that weekend, so the view from the balcony was a bit of a let-down until the Monday, but you can't control the weather and I would imagine that with a nice bit of weather it would be a lovely place to sit and listen to the waves. There are plenty of local food options around and a Morrisons within walking distance.

Hotel staff were very friendly and personable. Each one was happy to help and keen to accommodate our requests, with politeness and efficiency. The decor in the hotel is modern and attractive, clean and comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choice and catered for Coeliacs. Room was very spacious and clean and contained everything a guest could need. Plenty of parking spaces in hotel grounds.

This is our third visit this year to Seaburn, our second to the Seaburn Inn. We return due to the nice location and the great hotel which is well run and has excellent food.
