The room was very dated and shabby. Everything looked like it could break so I was terrified of letting the children touch anything. After being I'm the room 10 mins my partner sat on one of the beds to find it was broken - we reported it immediately to reception who were very friendly and sent maintenence to fix it while we went for a beach walk.

We stayed in a family room(18)- Was a really good size with lots of storage space. The toilet was separate from the bathroom which I thought was fab (meant I could have a shower without the children needing to come in for the loo) Great selection of tea and coffee in the room. TV with Netflix etc. We had a peaceful evening - no noise from downstairs. Great location for the beach, arcades and town,only a few minutes walk. Staff were exceptional -friendly and helpful. Was good value for money for a mini half-term break.

- WiFi would only connect to one of my devices but not the other - Room is rather small In the morning, after brushing my teeth I noticed there wasn't any hot water coming from the sink to wash my face. I wanted to have a shower before checking out but then there seemed to be no hot water coming out of the shower head either! Not impressed at all!

The hallways could do with a refresh and the third floor was very warm with a noticeable difference in temperature as opposed to the lower floors. I also note the windows are single pane old wooden style which was a concern for us as we have young children and were booked on the top floor. The window latch was also broken.

Whilst The Sandbanks seems a little antiquated it provides everything needed for a comfortable night with the family. The view over the foothills of Snowdonia was a lovely sight to wake up to. It's clear the rooms have recently had a fresh coat of paint which I imagine was much needed. The staff are friendly and were attentive regarding a safety concern we had during our stay. The offering of a travel cot was a welcome bonus.

The parking wasn’t the best, didn’t enjoy leaving my car out on the street, it also felt like I was taking up spots for people that actually lived on that street, looks like there is a decent size car park behide the hotel would be nice if that was opened for customers, was disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open

The heating was very very loud, we would have been unable to sleep. After we talked to the receptionist it was turned off. Then the shower and TV did not work. We talked again to the receptionist then the fuse was replaced.Other than that the door did not fit in the frame, we saw the light of the hallway. In the lift it was very hot.The toilet seat was loose.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel ist close to the beach. Parking is free in the sidestreets.

Carpet wasn't all the way up to the wall. The seal around the bath was wearing. The entire bathroom could do with an update. After no information on the additional costs for dogs I was told it was £8 per night. Then it was £8 per night per dog. The policy was sent to me and it stated £5 per night and only 1 dog. Then they needed to change the policy still as it wasn't up to date. The room information also stated it was £5 per night still. Very frustrated by this as "it still needs to be updated" was all I got. The lift was like a sauna and the corridors are only slightly cooler.

I had a sea view room on the second floor and it was wonderful. Even though it rained all of the first night, it was wonderful to sit and watch the sea as it slowly got darker.

Floor very uneven. Side window had wind whistling noises coming through all night. Breakfast we think was slightly overpriced for the amount of cooked breakfast. Although toast and cereal was available if wanted.

No food available at beginning of week but just a short stroll into town where there are lots of places to eat. No car park at hotel but easy parking on side street.

The breakfast was very nice, (at extra charge) The views from the breakfast room and the decor in there was lovely too. Location is perfect. 2 minute walk from the town. The staff were very nice and helpful. The bar downstairs and the downstairs decor is lovely.

The rooms needed updating, appreciate we only paid for standard room (only stayed for one night) and was little dated and tired, really needs some TLC and very compact. Toilet seat was broken (forgot to mention it on leaving to reception) bed was ok but could feel the springs through it. Even a standard room I think should be slightly better.

The downstairs restaurant, bar and reception area was amazing can’t fault it. Staff were welcoming and kind, couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast was added at a cost but was lovely and exactly what you asked for. Location was perfect just a short walk to the town and the view from reception rooms are amazing, loved just sitting watching the waves.
