Although our room was newly refurbished, the bathroom needed some attention to detail. The pool was so heavily chlorinated that it stung your eyes as soon as you went into the pool area.

Our room was lovely and newly refurbished. The bed was comfy and the buffet breakfast was great! The shuttle service to Windsor was such a lovely plus.

Room a bit small, wardrobe too small and compact. Stupid shelf unit in the wardrobe stopped you hanging things up properly. Ironing board should not be in the wardrobe either.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathroom great with sensor light under basin, which is great in the dark. Overall good value for location.

Building work going on plus bar expensive. We didn’t have dinner there as we didn’t want a buffet and this was the only choice.

We enjoyed the bedroom, while compact it suited our one night stay. The shower was fabulous, the bed was luxuriously comfortable. We enjoyed the buffet dinner the evening we were there which was plentiful and delicious. The buffet breakfast included in the price, was also fabulous. We would definitely stay again.

Some staff were really friendly (in the restaurant for instance) but not all - in the bar area it was hard to order a coffee and staff not very friendly.

Rooms were comfortable and very clean, breakfast was outstanding.

The renovation work...we weren't aware it was taking place and we booked for the location Dust on coffee machine etc. No alternative snacks to the buffet, which was very expensive and much more than we wanted to eat.

Nothing - it was great!

Beautiful hotel - excellent location - facilities were great! Used the free bus to visits Windsor - an excellent service! Breakfast fabulous choice - also used the restaurant for the evening buffet - great choice! Very happy with our stay and would certainly revisit! Renovation work is taking place but did not impact on our trip! Sensitively managed!

Buffet dining area was very badly organised. Veg and potatoes were not replenished very quickly. There didn't appear to be anyone checking this so we had cold plates with meat on and had to stand quite some time for veg by which time meat was cold. Little touches like the gravy and condiments being put at end of buffet rather than beginning would have meant you didn't have to go back through the queue to put them on your plate.

Freshly refurbished room was very comfortable with added extras such as bathrobes and slippers. Lovely toiletries although a body lotion would have been good.

Wonderful stay at Runnymeade. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. The use of the spa facilities were great, relaxing, everything was clean and well kept. Really enjoyed the breakfast options (buffet of continental and full english, veggie sausages, fruit, cereal). I did not have dinner so cannot comment but it did look like fresh buffet style (potato salad, salads, pastas). The room and the bed were comfortable. Great location, rural with views of the river. Every member of staff took pride in their service from Housekeeping, reception, chef, etc. Thanks for a lovely stay!

I didn't like the buffet style of not being able to order certain stuff of a menu however the food was exceptional.

Friendly staff. Very good food for a Buffet style. Lovely lounge to relax in. Pool facilities were incredible. Service was incredible. Overall a lovely stay.

They didn't have any dessert for vegan they only had mango which I don't like and the air con in the room we couldn't change so the temp wasn't right

Breakfast was good but not outstanding for the price! There is quite a lot of work going on at the moment, will be great when it’s finished. We did know this when we booked so can’t really complain.

Not enough chairs or beds for all visitors to the spa and very crowded.

We loved it, it’s going through refurb but it didn’t impact us. The only downer was no loungers free in the pool area and nothing outside to sit on in the glorious weather - we will be back
