You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomRoom was too hot and the cleaner servicing the room kept closing our windows. Lift doors had splash marks all over them and needed cleaned. Shaver mirror needed maintenance which I reported. Staff were efficient but didn't engage in any conversation.
Breakfast selection was good although didn't try the evening meals as there are loads of restaurants within a five minute walk. Room was a good size and clean. TV had all the free view channels. Lift to all floors although small capacity (6). Great location to train station and ferry.

Bed was very comfortable also the pillows were comfy.help yourself breakfast which was nice, plates nice and warm and food was hot which made a big difference as I had been hotels all week in other parts of Scotland and breakfast was cold, hotel very central in Oban which was helpful, hotel could do with a bit of upgrading but was fine and would book again

United KingdomI enjoyed my stay at the Royal, but was disappointed to find that An excellently cooked self-service breakfast to be served on cold plates. This meant that halfway through the meal, it was inedible as it was cold and greasy. Very disappointed as everything else was excellent.

United KingdomOne of the rooms we were assigned had a terrible outlook of a back fire escape which appeared in poor maintenance. The receptionist was helpful in assigning another room when I complained but quite honestly the outlook was so poor I think the hotel could be making efforts to make the room a little more comfortable by adding blinds or voil curtains to soften such a poor outlook.
The staff were friendly staff, the hotel is central for shopping amenities and the ferry terminal. It had an entertainer playing accordian on Saturday evening. The breakfast buffet was ample with a selection of hot and cold options, was very tasty! Rooms were tired looking but clean.
