Insufficient parking at the hotel meant we had to look for parking in the surrounding streets which was quite expensive

Only let down was the lack of attention to detail. In my room the kettle, it's charging base, cord cord and plug were all one unit, so all of it had to be taken to bathroom to fill it up. Also the kettle was set on a tall table yet sockets were below table height, so cup had to be held below table to pour hot water in. Its only a minute inconvenience but shows lack of thought by staff.

I liked the character of this hotel. Quirky and from a bygone age, but relaxed and friendly.

Couldn't open window ... would be quite stuffy in very warm weather.

Excellent single rooms. Good quality buffet-style breakfast. THE best location in Perth City centre.

Only down side is parking as it is limited, awkward due to tight spacing and on a first come first served basis.

Excellent breakfast. Staff very accommodating especially when last minute wanted dinner for 12! Would recommend as food excellent especially high tea.

The shower was pretty cold regardless of how long I ran it for. The room was slightly more expensive than I thought it should be for what I received, although the breakfast was included. I asked for a twin room as I was staying with a co-worker and although the beds were indeed singles, they were almost pushed together which wasn't ideal.

The room was lovely and clean, as was the hotel on the whole, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and there were options for myself as a vegetarian, although it was essentially just cereal/granola and toast but I was content with that. The location was perfect for what I needed. Parking was available.

My partner was a little uncomfortable with the bathroom, the size was great, but it had a large window that had a net curtain, the loo was right next to the window, and could easily be see through, especially at night time with the light on, have been more appropriate if it was covered with a plastic screen or something, half way up.

    Location, staff, room size.

The staff made me feel welcome, helped me with my luggage as there were only stairs at the property and they even helped me sort out a taxi to an event I was attending. The room was clean and obviously well looked after, with plenty of space to spread out my things and not trip over them. The bathroom had fresh towels and the shower was very easy to figure out and get at a reasonable temperature without scalding myself.

Nice Hotel, ideal location in a nice little city

parking at the rear of the hotel is limited, we were lucky as we did manage to find a space. But considering the hotel was built long before cars were invented this probably has to be expected. However, there are alternative car parks nearby.

The spacious room had a comfy bed, tea/coffee/biscuits. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety. The Staff were attentive and welcoming. It's a historic building, in an ideal location for walking around the city, with a beautiful view right on the banks of the river Tay.
