The breakfast prepared by the host are great! Their homemade cake and breads are the best! They are very nice and the place is very cozy to stay. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Portree

The highlight is really the owners, Andy and Lian Na, who make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The b&b is located in a convenient spot for adventures around Skye, which you’ll be well prepared for after a delicious home-cooked breakfast, and well rewarded for by an extremely comfortable bed. One warning is to definitely book dinner reservations in advance because they fill up and don’t seem to have wiggle room for walk ins as they close early, and they will not let you in.

Absolutely lovely by every standard. This is the cleanest place I have ever stayed. I would say it’s just like staying at home, but it’s way better than my house. Every detail was carefully considered and my hosts went above and beyond to accommodate my spouse’s food allergy. If you are looking for an unforgettable place to stay in Portree, this is it.

We booked this as being a great base to explore the Isle of Skye and it certainly did not disappoint. The accommodation was excellent and the owners were 1st class. They were very friendly and could not do enough for you. On arrival everything was explained to us, there was plenty of information available on the local area and apart from our room there was also a guest lounge where you could go and relax rather than being in your room which I must say was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent all freshly cooked according to your choice made beforehand. We certainly enjoyed our time at the Roses bed and breakfast and would not hesitate in booking there again.

Our room had the bathroom opposite, it wasn’t a problem at all, but midnight runs to the loo meant donning a robe 😂. We prefer a bathroom within our room. This didn’t take away from our stay at all, just be aware you may need a robe.

Where do I start? From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Our room was perfect with all the little extras to make it homely. The breakfast was scrumptious (even if I didn’t steal the recipe for the home-made bread) and it was the best haggis I’ve ever eaten. The hosts, Lian Na and Andy, were absolutely delightful, and helped immensely with tips on what to see, where to go. And, the birds! Watching them at the feeder was a highlight. Altogether a great place to stay.

Andy & Lian are outstanding hosts - they went beyond the call of duty to provide my wife with gluten free breakfast options and snacks! The Roses is conveniently located just outside Portree, walkable distance to town center. The breakfasts were wonderful, in a dining room with outstanding views & it's own bird feeder entertainment each morning. Our room was spacious & clean, bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

It was just perfect! Portree is a lovely little town and the Roses B&B was a perfect stay there! The Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock are not far away. The breakfast was incredible and the hosts were the loveliest people we‘ve met! They were incredibly helpful and kind. The room was so comfortable and clean it was just perfect!
