Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast was very good although you can only have the English cooked breakfast and the continental breakfast bits laid out - all lovely. I say ‘only’ as you can’t order anything else from the menu without paying for it separately eg pancakes.

United StatesFor a small hotel like this, it is strange that their bathroom towels are so raggedy. It really takes it down a notch.
The location is terrific. Less than a five minute walk to Earl's Court underground. The neighborhood is beautiful. My room was great and had an ample amount of closet space. Breakfast was good as well. There was enough variety to suit everyone.

United KingdomBooked a standard double room. The pictures on the website and booking.com show a room with a double bed situated in the centre of the room. We actually received a room with a double bed against a wall similar to the standard singles the hotel offers but with a double bed. The receptionist said this is due to layouts changes, however I do think most clients would not expect a bed against a wall considering the images of a standard double room.

NetherlandsThe phone was plugged out from the socket and didn't work when tried to plug in. The windows aren't very secure. Every time I opened the room door the windows would rattle. There was also a sound from the window from the wind blowing outside. Might irritate light sleepers.
Location of the hotel is excellent! Clean bedding and friendly staff. Could borrow UK adapter from reception.

Clean and warm room but that was to be expected. Good location. As ever the staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast pretty decent. All in all, a good hotel in a good location.

I try to stay a the hotel on ever trip to London. There are 2 metro tube stations within walking distance and a number of restaurants close by. An easy walk to Hyde Park, several major museums and more. There are several room options and on this trip I stayed in one of the garden rooms as well as others. I noticed that the carpet had been updated in The staff is always friendly and helpful, the room comfortable. the building. It is also helpful to have a restaurant in the hotel if you choose not to go out after a full day of touring.

Please note that reception will try to take a paper copy of your passport at check in. Hotel management needs to go on a UK data protection training course !
