Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JerseyThe shower was tiny, toilet paper wafer thin, no wardrobe, merely a hanging rail, no shaver socket. there was a lift but one had to use stairs to reach it. Aromas from the integral restaurant penetrated the carpeted stairs and the passage way urgently needed an air freshener. There was no heating control in the room but a fan was provided. I had to remind the staff to service my room ( which was promised in the hotel's description sheet.)
The room was equipped with a good heavy chair, multi channel t.v., tea and coffeee sachets and biscuits, a hair dryer, adequate space and a comfortable bed. There is supervised parking at £10 pernight, with 24 hour reception desk and well locared for town centrean d beach.

United KingdomThe parking situation was awful even if it was just to unpack your car. It stated coffee machine which there wasn’t one in the room. The shower was hit and miss mostly very hot
The size of the room was great and that we could have our two dogs stay with us. Where the hotel was situated was great right on the sea front. Breakafast nice.

United KingdomOur room, in the annex, was not luxurious but was clean and tidy if a little worn as you would expect. On arrival the window blind was skew-whiff which I had to straighten and there was only half a toilet roll, so some attention to detail is needed. I don't know what the rooms in the main hotel were like although I expect them to be better. I was given a ground floor room with 3 beds which is exactly what I wanted so no complaints and I would be happy to have the room again. I did not use the spa facility so can't comment. The breakfast was excellent and dinning room was very well presented in the basement. The food in the evening was also excellent and we chose to eat at the hotel a second time rather than go to a local restaurant. Entertainment was laid on with a quiz on one night and a singer on another. Both turned out to be enjoyable. The location is right on the front with a 30 second walk to the beach and a 5-10 minute stroll into the main part of town. There is car parking available on a first come first serve basis which costs £10 a night. The cars are packed in tight at the rear of the property and are manoeuvred by the hotel staff. Blue badge holders can park directly in front of the hotel for free all day and night, if a space is available. The hotel presents good value for money in an excellent location. I would have no problems with booking this again.

United KingdomThe lift was broken so very annoying climbing 3 flights of stairs twice a day! Our sheets and mattress protector didn't fit the bed, when we put it on one side it came off the other side! The shower wasn't very powerful at all! Horrible grey towels some days!
The staff were very friendly and helpful and always smiling. The view from our window was lovely, over looking the sea and every where we wanted to go was in walking distance from hotel apart from a couple of day trips and plenty of buses available..

United KingdomBedside tables not cleaned very sticky. Something not pleasant in sink. Shower room not big enough for 3 people’s toiletries. When you are told what’s on offer for breakfast, it shouldn’t matter what time you come down . You should never be told that something has run out. To be told the lift hadn’t worked for 18 months wasn’t good either.

United KingdomA heads up where the car park and reception is (rear of hotel)! Missed dinner order cut off by 2 minutes (2100) had I known close time I would have got there a bit earlier. Saw several meals being delivered and they looked great but ended up getting sandwiches from Lidl unfortunately
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room perfectly adequate. Everything clean and in good order. Toilet/shower room was actually lovely!

United KingdomOverall the accommodation was fine, thought it was slightly dated so a revamp would do it the world of good, which in turn was a reflection for the price of the room, thought it was slightly to high in price,
The breakfast was good, nice freshly cooked, greatful for on site parking, although a bit of a squeeze to park but it was fine.

United KingdomSome of the fixtures and fittings were a bit shaky! i.e. in need of repair or replacement, but. I realise that the hotel is welcoming to families and will get more wear and tear. The blind in my room was hard to operate and didn’t really block out the light at night- just minor things!
It was right on the seafront- so great for the beach. It was an old building but comfortable and well run.

United KingdomNo wardrobe or shelves for clothes in the room (four hangers provided above the bed, which meant you could not hand a dress or a coat, booked family suit with a double and single bed, however an extra single bed was in the room which took a lot of space, no bin in the room, blinds weren't working, booked spa (hot tub and sauna) sauna was out of service
Excellent location, reception and bar staff very nice and helpful, lovely lady at reception extended our check out to 2 hrs for the price of 1, overall a nice seafront hotel for a short stay.

United KingdomFelt a bit run down. Could do with some extra TLC, for example the shower has some mould - it could have used a thorough clean and fresh sealant. Also wasn't great on the first night as there was music playing until gone 11pm - it sounded like 'relaxing' music from the spa, but it made it hard to sleep. There was also a 'cola bottle' sweet in the corner of the room which wasn't nice - it was starting to grow mould so might have been there a while, I binned it but it cast doubt on the standard of cleaning.
Very close to the beach, only a few minutes walk from the main town. Room was small, but enough for one person.
