Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe beds could use some new mattresses, as the springs were very noticeable. The main issue was cleanliness for us, though. There were cobwebs in the bathroom and the shower curtain had a (probably) unintended pink ombre effect. In the hallway on the way to our room was a framed map that appeared to have started to grow mold. To get a hairdryer, we would have had to speak to the staff in the restaurant below.
Very close to the city center. The staff was very friendly and nice. The room was spacious, and most of the decorations were quite nice though definitely not very modern. Wifi worked fine.

SingaporeThe property is showing its age; the shower and faucet fittings were creaky, and threatening to break. Worst was the very weak WiFi signal in the room 5. Also no standing staff to help resolve problems; have to speak to staff at the restaurant downstairs but that only opens at 5pm.
Well located not far from the Blavatnik School of Government and also the Saïd Business School.

Check-in is very fast. The room is on the top floor. The room size is about 15 square meters. There is a 1.35m double bed, a 0.8m single bed, a writing desk, a wardrobe, a chair and a simple sofa. The room is equipped with refrigerator, electric tea kettle, electric fan, TV and lamp. The bathroom is about 3 square meters, equipped with toilet paper and toiletries, towels and bath towels, no slippers. Complimentary tea bags, coffee, cookies per guest. The overall experience is satisfactory.

GermanySupposingly, it can get very hot during summer time, very likely because the room is located on the top floor, exposed to the sun. (Even at a temperature of around 25 it heated up quickly.) Bathroom very small. Live communication with the staff was partly a little difficult, but okay via chat in Booking.com.
Nice hotel in an old building above a restaurant, calm surroundings although almost in the city centre. I liked the room, decorated with some taste, nice interior. Creates a good atmosphere.
