The rooms and ensuite were okay but felt grubby. Mattresses and bed linin need to be replaced. Need new kettles. We had to inform the management we were allocated a lower grade of room than the one we had booked and paid for. According to the residence, checkout was 11am, according to Booking.com the checkout was 2pm, annoyed with Booking.com. Please get your act together as this was an inconvenience. Not a "5" more like a "3" for now. I couldn't change your rating of a 5., please sort this out as it's mis-leading.

Friendly staff but the place could do with a fresh lick of paint. Tv was great, wi-fi was good. Tea, coffee facilities were also good but the three rooms we were in for a two nights stay, all the kettles needed replacing as descaling would not have been enough. Quiet area so we were not disturbed during the night. We never noticed the aroma of the restaurant in our room.

Did have to ask for towels, which should have been available in room. (Polite and immediate response when this issue was raised.) Unpleasant smell external to building - not a problem in accommodation when windows closed.

Excellent quiet location for an overnight visit to Easingwold. Bedroom clean and comfortable. Bathroom facilities very good. Overall good value for money.

the access to the rear was very untidy with rubbish, was generally a bit of a dumping ground for the restaurant below. residents also smoked in this area so lots of fag ends dropped around.

it was priced fairly and the site had plenty of parking. also a relatively quiet location if nor for the residents

The TV didn't work and there was no hot water. There was no breakfast available.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The price was very reasonable.

Outside area a little scruffy and hallway could do with a update but not too much of an issue Bit of a walk into easingwold on an unlit road but minimal traffic, again not a problem for us

What's not to like, cheap accommodation and good food-we didn't need breakfast as we were still full from our evening meal.

The room was clean, warm and beds fairly comfortable. Plenty of teas and coffees in the room. The music from the restaurant below went off at about 10pm. The food in the restaurant was lovely and reasonably priced.

Room was cold on arrival, radiator in the bathroom doesn't work and you can't close the window as well. Room's door are very thin, you can actually hear everything. One of the 2 beds was really uncomfortable, very old spring mattress. A very big spider was floating in the kettle... Rooms are on top of Indian restaurant so little bit smelly.

We got the feeling that we weren’t expected when we arrived. I think the language barrier made things a little difficult

The staff were quite rude, got there and they told us to sit down in an abrupt way didn’t feel welcomed at all. We didn’t get told any other information so all seemed very straight forward. We went out in York and came back early hours we tried to go through the front door but it was locked we were knocking and knocking but were being ignored then the owner stood up in nothing but a towel and came to the window and told us abruptly again to go round the back which seemed quite dodgy, we got to the back door which was opened by another member of staff and they seemed angry but we made it clear we weren’t to know. The next morning we went to check out but all the doors were locked and all the lights were out there was no one at reception so we couldn’t check out we managed to find a door that was open to get out of the building and left so we could catch our train.

The room was big enough and the bathroom was nice and clean.

No staff in the hotel overnight, very daunting if you travel alone. Wasn’t greeted in a professional manner, the door was locked behind us when we entered.
