The the whole team were so friendly, nice and welcoming. We booked for a meal too and honestly, it was just such a fantastic treat from beginning to end. We will definitely be returning again for more accommodation and more food. Breakfast was perfect 👌

The WIFI was a bit dodgy which we rely on quite a bit, managed to get on to it downstairs in the pub bit though. The only thing missing was a decent sized TV, we couldn't really see it very well. Would be lovely to have one in the sitting area of the suite.

The staff were all amazing, breakfast was lovely as were the evening meals we had. Parking was great too

Stayed last year but I couldn't use the jacuzzi bath as I'd had an operation so was really looking forward to that but they have changed the bath so disappointed with that, lighting to the room is poor and needs repairing, also steps can be quite precarious to get to your room, could do with hand rails on both sides. left phone charger and struggling to get it back

We were fine as we are physically fit albeit 75 and 64 but someone with walking difficulties would struggle to get to the rooms.

Some of the outside area was a bit worn out and could do with sprucing up but at this time of year I appreciate that is difficult. The bed was a little hard when sitting on it but better once laid down. They are the only down points and that's really nit picking because both issues did not bother either of us and did not affect our trip.

The little apartment was so lovely and cosy. With the hidden bathroom and the original beams. We also booked and ate in the restaurant downstairs. I would highly recommend doing this. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the staff are very accommodating and friendly.

From when i walked through the door , the staff were so friendly , the young lady was so attentive and showed me to my room. Showing me the hidden bathroom and the amazing room. So glad i stopped there ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The fireplace was not in the room which was a bummer as that was one of the things that sold this accommodation to us. The owner said that about 3 week before our visit one of the guests took it too far with the fire and they had to remove the fireplace :( apart from this the only other thing is absence of a shower head in the bathroom which is inconvenient if you just want to take a quick shower - here you have to fill in the bath.

The building as such is amazing. One of the oldest buildings in the North West with loads of character. The restaurant serves nice food and the breakfast was really good too. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time we were there but the room was good enough to stay in the whole time. The room is really spacious and light, the bed is nice and soft.

The room is quite cold due to the age of the building, that's a small criticism though as on the whole they are good and you could stay in bed longer to alleviate this!

The rooms are great, located above the restaurant, they are big and spacious and have everything you need for your stay. The food in the restaurant is great, the chefs are always passionate and we travelled up from London to stay here for a second time

Staff not very informative or welcoming when we arrived. No Wifi details or breakfast times. Only one socket in room so had to choose between bedside lamps, kettle etc. No bulb or working lamp on one side of the bed. We needed breakfast before catching a train at 10am so needed to leave at 9.30am but couldn’t eat until 9.30am! We had sent numerous messages through Booking.com and the hotel Facebook messaging app asking about breakfast times before arriving but never received a reply.

Amazing food - both breakfast and dinner. Very comfort bed and lovely linens. Excellent breakfast waiter.

The steps to the rooms were tricky to navigate and they had to park cars some distance from the venue

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We went for a Tapas at night which was very nice and the breakfast in the morning was equally as nice with lots of options. Can't share the pictures as they are on the girlfriends phone but it does look like the pictures.

Excellent accommodation which was filled with character of the building and also the owners. Very spacious, good size bed, very clean and plenty of hot water for the bath. The breakfast was excellent, not the run of the mill food one often gets. Would love o eat there as the menu plus the specials all looked very tempting. The dining room/bar area were also full of character making it a very interesting place to visit. Eating there is saved for another visit.

There wasn't a shower in the room. It obviously isn't a massive issue so not worth any negative points, plus I would definitely recommend supplying larger towels for guests as the current ones are a bit on the small side.

Excellent food, really friendly and attentive staff and the venue itself is very historical and full of character. We had 7 plates of Tapas and drinks and the quality was excellent. We stayed in Room 1 which was wonderfully quirky - it even has a bookcase that is actually a door!

A little bit dusty/cobwebby in parts of the room. Wi-Fi was v poor. We had to leave earlier than routine breakfast time and they weren’t able to give us anything- even a bit of cereal or something to take away. The outside space leading to the room was rather unkempt and overgrown.

The rooms are accessed up some outside stairs at the side of the property which could do with some tlc. Perfectly safe just a bit scruffy.

A lovely old property and the rooms have been beautifully done. We were very impressed with all the staff. Chef and sous chef were producing great food too.

Very spacious room, big comfortable bed and a lovely bath. Also booked a table in the restaurant for the evening and the food was exceptional I would highly recommend, the breakfast which was included in the room price was also fantastic, great produce.

beautiful building , staff amazing and so friendly and helpful and we also ate the tapas which was very good the garlic prawns where amazing …. our room wasn’t ready on arrival but they upgraded us to another room for free and it was just beautiful !! breakfast ! wow
