We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Stayed here after coming back from Europe via the ferry to Harwich. Room (6/7) was clean, comfortable temperature, and remarkably quiet for being not far off a busy intersection. Host had put complimentary drinks in the refrigerator, which was most welcomed.

Netherlands“Didn’t like” would put it to strong. Noise in the building travels far. You hear the other guests walking about and one of their showers made an eery squeaking noise when in use. Despite the double glass by-passers and traffic can be heard well in the front room. But the road is not very busy at night. Since we live next to a 4 lane road ourself, we weren’t bothered by it :)
Ideal place to catch an early ferry in Harwich, being only 30 minutes drive away. Therefore the reserved parking behind the building was ideal. Everything was very tidy and clean, the rooms were basic but fine for our one night stay. We never saw the host, but s/he was very responsive and clear in the communication. The instructions for self-check in were straightforward and left no questions open.

New ZealandIf traveling with kids: The bathroom heater was so hot that both my children burned themselves. Neds to be turned down!! The windows also open very far for windows that are easily within children's reach (especially with the bed next to the window). I think with such windows it is actually a requirement to be restricted to not opening fully?? Would be useful to restrictive catches on them, and less stressful when kids are staying!
Big bed, plenty of room for myself and the kids. Huge bathroom, easy check in and very responsive staff (by email).

Good location, very close to the station. Tea, coffee and some cold drinks provided as well as a kettle, mini fridge, and small microwave/oven which was really useful. Pink blinds were lovely too. Dog friendly and parking. Good communication from the hosts.

We had an inexpensive room and yes, it was compact, but it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a sort overnight stay including fridge, microwave, hairdryer and a nice en suite bathroom. it’s on quite a busy road but our room was quiet and we had a good night’s sleep with a comfortable bed and crisp clean sheets. Check in instructions came by WhatsApp and were clear and easy to follow. Helpful videos also sent so I could visualise entrance before arriving.
