    Nothing at all.

The room was lovely triple aspect and sunny, also you could not hear the pub underneath at all. Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The included breakfast was piping hot, cooked fresh, and very tasty . For a smallish venue, the range of breakfast options was excellent. We also had an evening meal there which again was really delicious.. I could not fault this place and would visit again and also highly recommend it to anyone. I would also point out that the location is excellent. A few minutes walk from the railway station. Tescos and Morrisons are right on the doorstep if you need fuel, etc. Town centre, canal and bus station again a few minutes walk its so well situated. Thank you, Railway. we really enjoyed our stay

    Nothing!

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Our room was beautifully decorated and our bed was comfortable. The restaurant was excellent with delicious food in the evening. We were with our 2 year old son who didn't want to sit still at dinner time and the staff were so lovely with him and us. The staff offered him a colouring in book and crayons, which kept him occupied for a while. And when he wanted to go up to our room but we hadn't finished eating, the staff helped us take our food upto our room so we could finish our meal there. They were so kind and helpful. I really couldn't fault them at all!

Some issues with flow of water in shower and sink in morning… probably due to water system not coping with demand at peak use times…

Great location, clean modern room, excellent food in pub restaurant, friendly staff, great service…

Nothing really, apart from finding a place to park. You have to get lucky to park outside pub, limited parking. There is a Tesco opposite with free parking for 2 hours or all day parking for £6 a little down road from pub.

Location was perfect, just a short walk to town center. Breakfast was great and staff were very friendly and helpful. The Railway is in a great place if you want peace and quiet as its away from the centre of town.

Lovely Little Hotel/Pub with Lovely Staff, but No Parking, nor Wifi in my Room
    • Business trip
    • Solo traveller
    • King Room
    • Stayed 1 night

This hotel came up when I entered 'Car Parking' in the search, but there isn't any, the only option is literally on the streets near the pub and only after 6pm, which was an annoying situation when I got there as I then had to drive round and round looking for somewhere. My only other gripe, which was really annoying also, was despite having a WiFi Booster in my room, I basically had no WiFi whatsoever, which meant I could do no work at all, and I rely on hotels having signal so I can catch up on the day's messages, this was compounded by the fact my team were on TV in a massively important game, and I could get it on my Tablet due to the above either.

The staff were lovely, the room was a really good standard, although, as with most places I stay, the shower head was iffy. The food was a really good standard, that was the evening menu as well as breakfast, and it was value for money too (I was there on Steak Night, and it was the nicest I've had in a while). The breakfast in the morning was the best I'd had in a long time too, and the lady serving was really friendly and chatty also.

The property was advertised with private parking on booking.com but this was not the case, parking was available to the side of the property but was on a first come basis.

The location was very good with just a stroll into town, the propert was on the same road as our favourite restaurant which was a bonus.
