Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Comfortable luxury accommodation beside the Scottish parliament. Uphill to the city centre and station but good service on 35 bus. Tea room downstairs sold take away breakfast rolls. Supermarket close by.

IrelandExtremely hard to find - numbers of buildings are erratic and illogical. All that was needed is to add to directions - entrance is beside Clarinda’s Café. Luckily we got hold of Karin on the phone who directed us. Coffee machine didn’t work. It was quite cold for Summer, and we couldn’t turn up the heating.

AustraliaNoisy sometimes , but as on Main Street to be expected. The stairwell and foyer were very dark and looked dirty, not in keeping with the actual apartment. Which was very nice. Would have been good to have a small milk left to go with the coffee.
Location was great. Helpful and responsive communication. Nicely furnished. Had a combined washer / dryer which was very helpful. Provided a few snacks and coffee as well as shower gel shampoo towels etc. Very clean.

United StatesThis was a fantastic location. We especially enjoyed a book of unique things to do in Edinburgh finding secret gardens, rock statues and more. It was a little uphill walk to the "castle area" but not too strenuous. Kitchen was nicely appropriated. Robes and slippers to use were a special touch. Bonus being upstairs from Clarenda's Tea House where you could pop in fairly quickly before a line forms.

United KingdomWhilst the flat is very nice, the block it is in is not very nice. Every time the front door was opened, it slammed very noisily. Broadband speed ok in the living room but pretty slow in the other rooms. Perhaps a signal booster would help? The apartment is fully equipped with all the appliances you would expect and was very clean on arrival. The apartment faces on to a fairly busy road so there is traffic noise throughout the day/night but it is quite close to the tourist hub.
