Very basic room for the price( no TV, no wardrobe space, shower leaked badly) Smell of dope in the main lobby stairs Lunch was poor, breakfast was poor No toilet roll in lobby mens toilets The whole place needed cleaning!

It's dirty, broken curtain, water glasses dirty, unpleasant smell in the corridor,, Was given room 12 first which had very bad smell,, Bathing water Cold , ,,, The standards have fallen out,,,,

Rooms lacked facilities like hairdryer, bedside light and Wi-Fi was useless.

Our room draw on bed fell to bits, bathroom door sticking, handle falling off I repaired.Bathpanel falling off bathroom radiator not working,no hot water after 10.30pm till morning and I mean no water coming out of tap.Stairs could do with a clean and vacuum.

My husband thought the quality of the breakfast could have been better . But it was big enough.

The room was clean and tidy everything we needed to make a drink in the morning . The bedroom was warm, and doors opened out so we could get some fresh air.. Staff were friendly, and nothing was too much trouble Would stay here again .

Rooms are very basic, and mine (room 2) was in need of modernising. Blistering hot day, no air conditioning or even a fan in the room. Only one pillow provided. Window in the bathroom was screwed locked, so that couldn’t be opened. Not even a TV in the room! Extremely noisy neighbouring residents - who obviously had a TV in there room as it was on what seemed like full blast, and you could here every word of their conversation, until the early hours, and then again from about 7am. Can’t comment on the breakfast as I left before service as the room was oppressively hot.

Location wise, only a short walk from Thorne North railway station, and the motorway network. Large onsite car park, which is free.

Food,basic wifi signal poor, whole place smelt of manure. I could hear the person next door snoring all night. They didn't open for breakfast until 7.30am which was too late for me. i wasnt advised of breakfast time and it wasnt communicated anywhere

We were shown to our room and left within ten mins .. The room was very tatty, the headboard were hanging off, the curtains rails weren't much better. The room was very tatty and depressing . So we left

The Punchbowl Inn is a very nice accomodation: my room was clean, comfortable and supplied with everything necessary for a splendid stay. In addition, I enjoyed the very friendly staff and the overall familiar and warm atmosphere.

We are a retired Australian couple on a cycling holiday. On arrival at the property we were warmly welcomed, shown to secure storage and charging facilities for our bikes and then to a comfortable room. we sustained a puncture and the staff were great in providing local knowledge about repairs. couldn’t be happier about the staff cooperation.
