Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe toilet in my room is an accessible one, which I appreciate because it's spacious. Unfortunately, the water tends to spread across the bathroom floor and stays there until the next morning before it drains.
i like the location. room is clean, comfortable and has the basic things you need. Staff are approchable and helpful.

United KingdomRestaurant wasn’t great and quite pricey for very basic food. The rooms were also a lot smaller than expected, the rooms I’ve stayed in in ibis budget just down the road was a lot bigger just not as brightly decorated which I wouldn’t say warrants the higher price or “style” aspect of the hotel
Beds are so comfortable! Rooms are well equipped with iron/ironing board and space for hanging clothes which is nice! The staff are always happy to come in and change bedding/clean the room which is also really nice to come back to after being out all day

United KingdomI requested a quiet room and the next room to us was very drunk and very loud on the last night we stayed, as well as shouting at 9am the next day which was quite aggravating
The decor was fantastic and the staff were very helpful. The need for a keycard to enter the lobby after a certain time was very reassuring for our safety. It was absolutely beautiful inside as well

IrelandWe left the room at 9am to get breakfast & have a walk. When we returned at 10:50am to gather our belongings, the room door was open. I can be 100% sure that it was fully closed as I triple checked when leaving due to the fact the door was very difficult to open. I suspect housekeeping opened it, saw our things but never properly closed it again. This left out belongings at risk for an unknown period of time and I was extremely nervous re-entering the room as it was only me with my 7yr old. I did inform reception when checking out so hopefully they can look at the door and check for issues.
Location is very good for train and city centre. Nice restaurant attached and room was clean.

United KingdomWould have liked a couple extra pillows rather than the one provided. Some elements of the hotel design wise was questionable, such as the slanted mirror in the room and the picture frame placed around the tv. As much as I understood it was linked with the theme of the room, it was a little over the top.
Bed was really comfy, hotel was modern, staff really friendly, reception had a good selction of snacks and drinks at a reasonable price. Location is fab, tram stop nearby and short walk from Piccadilly station. Plenty of food and drink options nearby too.

United KingdomThe lack of the sound proofing of the room the noise of the air handling purifier out side the room was very loud all night and the window did NOT lock so there was a draft in the room so that was a big thumb down, and the heating system in the room was broken not working, and the staff when I complained, was not very good they seem to be we don't care attitude and told me they would have to reset it, but about 30 minutes after going back to my room they rung my mobile and offered me a new room or a heater I took the heater, has it was late and didn't want to relocate, was tied, I dare the ceo of the company to stay in that room for a night, u bet he would walk once he heard those machines outside the window, or he would not even turn up, has profit over customer satisfaction comes first. the building wants some upgrading triple glazing sound proofing windows. Would not stay here again, it looks nice, BUT looks can be deceiving.
