The mattresses were not the most comfy (nor as thick or deep as some of the ones in the upstairs rooms pictured) but during my stay some were removed and hopefully will be replaced with ones that were not so thin. A mosquito screen over the open ventilation window might be an idea.

I found Marylebone station to be slightly closer to the pub (Bakerloo Line - also one of the stations that’s on the English/London Monopoly board) which first became a pub in 1881. It’s useful for the Charing Cross Collectors market as well as the Kilburn Park Car Boot which is funny because many have the impression that Marylebone/Edgware Road is out in the middle of nowhere... The check in was easy and quick and the downstairs room basic, the bar prices were not the most expensive that you find in London. The free lockers were useful as was the cost effective breakfast.

Is not possible to sit on the beds, your head hits the rooftop. Just 4 shower for like 40 customers is insane. Just 2 plugs in a bedroom with 14 beds.... Ridiculous.

The location is convenient to see the downtown area. The breakfast is going and cheap. Staff is friendly.

For the number of people on one given floor, there needs to be at least 5 or so toilets and shower facilities! How can you expect so many people to be ready for checkout by 10:00AM with just one shared toilet and shower facility? Amidst this, cleanliness in them is too much to expect for. Furthermore, for a room that is shared by 6 or more people, why are there only 2 plug points? There needs to be at least one near each bed! Provision of more plug points and toilets and shower facilities would greatly improve the experience of future lodgers.

No, I did not request a quiet room! I have enough experience to know this is not possible in a shared dorm! What I DID LIKE was the kindness of the young staff member who provided me with earplugs. Thank you👍🏼😀& whose kindness made my stay more pleasant.

Breakfast was great! I enjoyed it very much. It was made more enjoyable by a friendly, young staff member playing great music @ a comfortable volume.

Mostly the room and so many people coming in and out at all different times but that is the nature. For the price and location there really are no complaints

The bed I had was actually comfortable. The codes changed daily so you knew you were safe. Although very loud and obviously right in your ear and people constantly coming in and out but hey ho. The Scottish guy was funny. The African cleaner guy I forgot his name was one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Cheap pints also which is always a welcome in today's world

It was a very bad hostel experience for me. -the water doesn't even run in the showers on the 2nd floor -it was dirty especially the bathrooms, hairs everywhere even though they 'clean regularly' -some of the staff members were way too intrusive and inappropriate, entering the women's dorm with no evident reason and without knocking and were semi harrassing us by imposing themselves on us (they wanted to join us to carni) and by offering us a drink -the room was way too small and is advertized as a 6 bedroom female dorm, but there are 7 beds... -there is barely any room to store your stuff in and many of the beds don't have charging ports in the vicinity -my friend got bitten by what we presume were bed bugs (by the pattern, bite size, etc) -the code keeps changing so everytime you have to ask for the new code of the day. I guess it's good for safety but it is not very convenient -there were a couple of weird people staying at the hostel, some were singing and playing the guitar in the hallways on the stairs at night while others were just creepy I could go on but I'll leave it at this In short even though it was affordable it's definitely not worth it in my opinion

The bathroom facilities were dodgy, as were the beds (and had no curtains). There were not enough lockers - 9 beds but only 8 lockers and 4 of them had doors you could lock. Staff had weird vibes (not lovely for a solo female traveler), and cleaners came to mop the room at 9pm. Downstairs at the bar smelt weird too. It wasn't unsafe, but you can find much nicer hostels for the same price.

The location was good, and there is also a cheap breakfast available.

You need code to rooms everyday because its changed everyday which i suppose for safety with it being the size of the hostels the shower rooms are small. People leaving their stuff in the bathroom and u need a some kind of holder to put you shampoo and conditioner on so u don't have to bend down
