The 2nd bedroom, living room and balcony were smaller than expected based on photos. The parking was a challenge and very tight/limited space. If there hadn’t have been 1 spot left, we would have had to find paid street parking - not clear from the booking details.

The added touches of bathroom amenities and kitchen treats were very much appreciated.

Oban is a bustling port town with much to see and do - both in town and in the nearby environs. Once you make it up the three flights of stairs to The Penthouse, you are rewarded with amazing views and a really well laid out apartment for a family or two couples. Fiona was a wonderful host — very communicative and had excellent recommendations on places to eat and things to do (both in Oban and throughout the Highlands).

Everything! The location was terrific. You are in Scotland, after all. The fruit bowl was wonderful. The bathroom has everything you could possibly need. We had water bottles in the fridge and some little chocolates. Games under the coffee table were great too. If you don't book to stay here, it'll be one of those decisions you'll live to regret. Hmm... those stairs - good little workout.

Quite a challenging task to lift heavy luggage upstairs with 50+ steps to conquer!

The host provided detailed info via messages way in advance and responded to all requests promptly. The state-of-art facility and appliances (apart from washing machine) made it an absolute luxurious stay, especially with the penthouse view into the harbour as well as walking distance to the eateries!

Lovely, clean apartment with everything you’d need and some lovely personal touches. The view from the balcony was wonderful. We were only staying 1 night as we were heading off on a ferry but I would definitely stay again for a longer period. The host was also incredibly helpful.

It's a hike up the steps to the penthouse apartment, but worth the effort!

Super clean and comfortable apartment in a great location to walk around Oban. Our host Fiona communicated with us easily. The amenities available in the apartment were generous and greatly appreciated. We arrived in Scotland on the day of check-in and drove all day from Edinburgh to Oban. There was coffee, water, and tea available for us as well as fruit and snacks. The beds were all comfortable, and there was sufficient bedding. Thank you, Fiona, for a great stay!

Large number of steps to reach penthouse. Was hard on my parents as they have poor legs. But well worth once you reach.

We had some challenges with parking which may have been caused by the timing of our visit - over the weekend with a bank holiday.

Our host was exceptional. She was responsive and thought of everything. She included many extra things to make sure we had a comfortable and memorable time. She is the best vacation host we’ve ever had.

No complaints except to say we didn't realise we would need to climb 5 flights of steps to reach apartment which made it impossible to bring in our luggage and difficult for our 80 year old mother. Some of the ceilings are slanted and we kept hitting our heads. Also the pillows weren't comfy little too thin.

The location is stunning the apartment was lovely and the hosts graciously left us some snacks, milk and water in the fridge.

Shower temperature was difficult to equalise, so was worried about children using it however filling bathtub was an option that we used. Cleaners arriving prior to 10am on checkout day.

Apartment had fantastic views! Hosts were very accommodating and easy to correspond with. Lots of little treats left for us and the children had welcome packs!

No lift and 60 plus stairs to climb. Sloping ceilings quite dangerous for tall people.

The stairs were too much for three women over 60 with luggage. One sister has terrible knees so had we known, before hand, we would have not reserved the penthouse.

The view was fantastic! The unit very clean!!
