I was hoping to eat in the restaurant but arrived a little later than planned (945pm) and when I went in, I was told that the kitchen was closed. The WiFi was also not working when I was in the hotel which meant that I wasn't able to do any pre-reading before a meeting.

5 mins walk from the train station. Nice big room and bathroom. Comfy bed.

Nothing to dislike for me.

I've stayed a few times now, I like that it's very central, that it has free off-street parking, plenty of bars and restaurants close by and the Tavan restaurant next to the hotel has some superb tasty Moroccan and Turkish food and very reasonably priced too.

Our room had a very bad smell which i think was the mould on the window, effected the setee.. very badly.. Cupboards and draws kept opening.. due to the old wonky floor. A few magnets would sort that. Needed another chair.

All the staff were lovely, friendly couldn't do enough! Polite! Nothing too much trouble.

Apart from a more powerful shower everything was fine by me. Price eexcellent as given a free upgrade .

Staff very friendly. Got a free upgrade to an executive suite which was very spacious. Bed was fabulously large and room warm . Could have done with a more powerful shower but it was perfectly adequate. Full length mirror was great. Quiet and in what I felt was a safe area to walk in at night (walked to New Theatre and back at 11pm and felt fine). Breakfast chosen night before and brought to the room, not an extensive choice but fine for me. Lovely touch of a real yellow rose on the breakfast tray. Decent safe car park.

I struggled to get the air con unit to stay at the temperature I wanted and not a massive fan of the breakfast being brought to your room

I had an attic room to which the door was a little under 5 ft high. Was quirky and once in the room the ceiling height was fine but the door to the bathroom was the same sort of hobbit door so a lot of stooping. I'm 5'9 so it wasn't much of a problem and I kinda liked the quirkiness and would stay there again because the room size made up for the small doors, but taller people would struggle. The room was fine but I found a relatively large hair clip on the floor of the bathroom which suggested it had been cleaned "quickly". Didn't look dirty but was disappointing. There are no communal areas at all in the hotel so you are confined to your room but that probably suits most people.

Great location near to the station. Well appointed spacious room. Breakfast was served in the room which was nice as long as you have a room with a table. Wifi was good for those who demand good wifi.

The staff were kind and helpful. Large room, lovely large bed. Breakfast in bed a bonus. Very clean. A lot of effort went into cleanliness, which is reassuring in the current climate. This was relaxing and put my mind at ease. Everything worked: internet, tv, heating/ac. Very good value for money.

The TV signal dropped out occasionally, and the remote had difficulty changing channels, but these were minor issues & don’t change our otherwise very positive experience.

Very clean, great shower, our room appeared to have been recently refurbished to a high standard. Great location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Exceptional value for money. (We arrived late & left early so couldn’t sample the breakfast.) Would happily book again if staying in the area.
