Second time I stayed in May due to an unexpected issue which delayed a flight home. The marketing of the hotel rooms, e.g. website photos, descriptions, does not provide warning that some of the rooms are in the basement with the only natural light through a light well. I would never book such a room if this was more clearly described as a possibility with the room category picked in booking. Staff were good first time in moving my wife and I after one night to a nicer room with a view but at the cost of losing the kingside bed. Second booking, a better room offered from the outset with kingside bed.

The staff, location, a relatively new hotel with the benefits that go,with that compared to older hotels in London, with smart though casual feel.

Having to book a spot in the gym. I understand it is small but it’s inconvenient. Rooms are a little small with not a whole lot of storage options but it’s expected in the city.

Whilst the hotel and room where great and I must say that, there were just a couple of things that could have been better. There was nowhere to hang your clothes or towels in the bathroom. The bins had a paper bag in them, so you had to use your hands to actually use the bins. Either bigger bins or remove the paper.... such a waste of paper. The basin in the bathroom is positioned in such a way that you bang your head coming up to shelf directly above it. The pricelist of foods in the fridge and cupboard was daunting especially as half the items were missing when we arrived and that £50 is taken on your card the moment you check in. I did have to point this out at checkout to ensure I was not charged for these items.

Location is perfect, really nice area. The staff greeted us with a courteous manner and were most helpful. The room was big and on the ground floor and easily accessible.

The room was small and there was no mirror in the bedroom, so could only get ready in the bathroom. The service for breakfast was horrendous and the man who served us was very rude.

The decor was lovely and the bed was comfortable. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful when we checked in.

Room was smaller than we hoped, it was hard to have two open luggage’s. There was also not as much natural light and only a small window. Also no option to control heating/cooling, had to contact reception to turn on the heater and even then we couldn’t control the temperature or the fan settings. Bathroom was modern and clean but the sink had limited space and was designed in a way for it hard to not have water splash everywhere when using it.

Hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. All the staff were lovely, always ready with a smile and a greeting from reception to the cafe. Great and easy walking distance to Paddington station and a tube stop as well as Hyde Park. Area was safe at night and we felt comfortable walking at all hours of the day.

We were staying in room 222. The twin bed near the bathroom is sunken in the middle. And we're returning on the 29 May, kindly not to give us the same room - 222. Thanks Fiona

It had a bad sewer smell coming from the bathroom. I had to always close the door and since the room was very small and the bed was right next to the bathroom, there always was a lingering smell despite closing the door. I have no complaint other than the smell but it was a issue that was difficult to deal with

There were little things that were difficult- one of the beds had a crater in it. There was no electrical outlet with access to a mirror for hair dryer or curling iron.

The property was in an excellent location - an easy walk to 2 subway stations as well as Paddington Station . The hotel was very clean and the staff extremely courteous and welcoming.

- rooms were dusty in some areas, especially the console table under the TV - not many hooks or options to hang things - towels were replaced at times even all the folded and clean ones, even though there was a note that stated that housekeeping will not do this undless requested. This is no biggie but wasteful, nontheless. - ramp in one of the rooms was a bit weird, but something one can deal with Considering all of the above; I would still stay again in this hotel as it was by far the best out of all I ever stayed at in London.
