Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomJust the shower in our room, it had no seal on the bottom of the door and the water just flooded out into the bathroom floor! We think this was the cause of the slightly damp smell in the bathroom.
It is a really quirky pub! In a great location for Terminal 5 at Heathrow, for either a flight or picking up, which we were. They let our cousins come back to freshen up in our room after their long haul flight and we all had breakfast! It was really nice. The bed was really comfortable We will definitely stay here again when we need to.

United KingdomNothing ,we were very pleased with the hotel.
As we left the hotel at 4.45 we weren't there for breakfast. We arrived at 19.30 and we didn't want dinner. We checked in to our and then went and had a drink in the lounge and had nearly night aa we were getting up at 3.15. The room was very clean and the facilities were excellent with tea and coffee provided. I booked the room because of the hotels proximity to terminal 5. It was an easy 10 minute drive to the airport. In future when I am flying from Heathrow and need to stay overnight I will book the Ostrich Inn

United KingdomThe room is in a shocking location right by the beer garden and outside smoking area. Very very noisy, you can hear every conversation. We wouldn’t come back here for this reason.

United KingdomThere is no night porter at the hotel. We unfortunately had a fire alarm go off in the early morning. This was caused by a kettle. Everyone evacuated but then was lost on what to do without staff to direct. When staff did arrive approximately 10 minutes later, they did not apologise for the situation. This included small children and babies. The sensitivity of the fire alarms needs to be adjusted so kettles do not set it off. They did offer free coffees in the morning once everyone was up for breakfast as an apology. If you don't like noise while you sleep, then you might struggle with this hotel. Although we did not mind. As it is located next to Heathrow, the aeroplanes taken off are pretty load. There are a lot of heavy goods vehicles that pass on the road next to the hotel. Our room was also above the bar, so the noise from the bar was loud. We did not mind the noise, but I could understand that some people would not want this noise.
The hotel itself is beautiful and we loved the historical aspect and reading the story of Jarman and his wife.. The room we had was large with a comfortable bed and it was easy to come and go when we pleased. Located near Heathrow made it easy to get to both Wembley for the Eras Tour and then into Central London for a day of sightseeing on the tubes using the Elisabeth line. The food in the hotel was really good both breakfast and evening meal. The drink selection is good and decently priced for the location and bar staff helpful and polite. The bar is busy most evenings with friendly locals and there is a selection of board games that can be used next to the bar. There is a nice large beer garden to the back of the property and it was nice sitting out back and watching the aeroplanes take off from Heathrow. The hotel also had a car park with plenty of space and is free for hotel users. This is a camara parking area where you need to put your reg in at reception. Local area there is not much close to the hotel within walking distance but there are bus routes availiable. There is a small shop and a kebab house if required which covers most items. But most other things can be found in Slough or via the tube routes. Overall, this was a great stay and we will be staying again in the future for any trips to London. There are a few downsides but not enough to put us off another stay.

United KingdomEven with the fan on in the room it was very hot. With our room being on ground floor and on street we didn’t feel we could open the windows. Request a room upstairs if you like fresh air when you sleep!
Characterful building and room with good food at the pub. Extremely comfortable bed and great shower. Plenty of useful extras in the room eg toiletries. Good location especially for T5 at Heathrow.
