Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

There is nothing to dislike , beautifully decorated , spotlessly clean with lovely owners.the only reason we can’t give it 10/10 is because there is no private outside space at the moment.

There was nothing to dislike about Station House. It was clean, quiet, beautifully and newly decorated. The attention to detail was apparent, even down to a charming logo on the coat hangers. The house was well equipped and location perfect.

The Old Station in Snettisham was a delightful property in a secluded and quiet location. The house itself used to be the original railway station and Debbie and Martin have gone to great lengths to acquire features befitting the property. The location was in very easy reach of Sandringham, the magnificent beach and town of Hunstanton and the rugged beach of Snettisham (easily within walking distance). Debbie and Martin are wonderful hosts and and even included a welcome hamper which was a very nice touch. I could not fault my stay there.

United KingdomNot a problem for us but be aware that as this was previously the railway station it served both the village (about 20 minutes walk to village centre / pubs / co-op) and the beach (about 40 minutes the other way).
Fantastic characterful accommodation but very practical with modern adaptations (like a TV that wouldn't have been in the station originally). Lovely tea room / café for breakfast next door if required and ice cream / further café on a small retail park across the road.

We had a wonderful time at the old station, we loved the train features and all the details. The house was very spacious, spotless and ever so comfortable. The bed was really comfortable and loved the round bath tub. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, we couldn't have asked for more. Also thank you so much for the home made jams they were delicious.

United KingdomWe would suggest bath mats and also notice of the step between the kitchen and the hallway.
The property was lovely, well presented and well kept and Debbie and Martin were excellent hosts. The kitchen was very well stocked with crockery and utensils, especially useful for those who prefer to eat in. Walkers can certainly walk to the beach and the Co-Op and to the Snettisham evening eateries - if less mobile this is still an excellent location to visit North Norfolk scenery and places to eat by car. We would recommend the Rose & Crown and Silk Road in Heacham for dinner as we ate at both. Breakfast at The Granary next door and the Beach Cafe at Old Hunstanton were both excellent and lunch at Norfolk Lavender Farm - all within easy reach by car adding to the benefits of the location. We knew that the outside space was limited but the warm weather allowed us to enjoy the outside patio furniture to the full and the car parking space was excellent.

The owners are absolutely lovely, with lots of information about the station and surrounding area. The accommodation was fantastic, everything you needed for a great stay. The beds are very comfy, and we both had some quality sleep bar, my snoring lol. The homemade marmalade was super delicious. This is a great base to explore North Norfolk and RSPB Snettisham just down the road. Hopefully, we will be back soon as we both loved it.

United KingdomThis is probably knit picking but a coffee table in the living room would have been useful, there were two rather uncomfortable easy chairs that could do with being replaced with something more comfortable. The toilets had no cleaning brushes!
Wonderful host Martin who proudly showed us round telling us of the history of the property. The accommodation was spotless and extremely comfortable, I would recommend to couples, families or elderly as it’s all on one level. Great location for north Norfolk.
