Wi Fi was patchy depending on where you were in the property. There are boosters but the walls are thick!

We were staying in Kelso for my son’s wedding at Runningburn Venue nearby. We stayed from Friday though to Monday. The accommodation was ideally situated, just 10 mins drive away from the venue. The main square is at most a minute’s walk away and Kelso itself is a delightful town. (If anyone is looking to book transport in the area, Kenny from Border Cab Co was so accommodating transporting guests to and fro). There is free, long-stay parking close by, and you can pull up outside to drop luggage. The property is spacious and very comfortable, situated over 4 floors. The hosts were most flexible, allowing an earlier check in as there were no guests immediately prior. The lounge area was really comfy and allowed a small pre-wedding gathering to happen. There reading nook proved a popular place to chill! The beds were really comfy and bedding crisp and clean, though the double bedrooms are smaller than the photos suggest. There was plenty of hot water for baths and showers. There was milk in the fridge and a welcome pack of local goodies.

Lack of parking outside for unloading and loading but we were lucky and did not block the lane. Easy parking within a five minute walk. The three flights of stairs were difficult to negotiate carrying luggage but that only happened twice! Absolutely nothing else to complain about.

Not a problem for us, but lots of stairs for anyone with limited mobility.

We used the Old Seed Store as a weekend base for a family wedding in the Borders. We really appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack when we arrived. The house was warm and welcoming. Our party of 3 couples had plenty of room, we could relax comfortably in the comfortable living room and there was plenty of space in the kitchen/dining room for a leisurely cooked breakfast (good cooking facilities) before we set off for the wedding. Great that hosts provided washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Two rooms with ensuite facilities included an excellent shower in each. The house is a short walk from a variety of supermarkets so it was easy to gather supplies on arrival. Thanks for giving us an extra hour to gather ourselves before departure the morning after the wedding.

No parking outside the property but a minor detail really as there was a car park at the bottom of the road about 100 yards away.

This was one of the nicest places we have stayed. Immaculate and beautifully furnished. So many personal details made this a real home from home.

The door of the shower in the ensuite had a door with rubber seals that kept coming off.

I liked the well stocked kitchen. It had two hobs, plenty of kitchen equipment. The beds and sofa were all comfortable.

Nothing I could recommend to improve our stay. Spotlessly clean, (the most important factor for us) every conceivable amenity and lovely extra touches like milk in the fridge and a tray of goodies.
