Carpet needs replacing and curtain hooks need fixing. Also, dogs in the dining room shaking their hair everywhere when I'm trying to eat my breakfast, not ideal.

A large, sunny, comfortable and characterful room. Lots of space for luggage and no stairs! Staff were lovely and food was great. Breakfast delicious too.

Broken lock on on suite and a broken curtain rail in room. Could be improved by fixing, but I would still recommend staying there. 😀

Location is fab if you want to visit some lovely places in Cornwall. The breakfast is excellent.

Live music on Saturday night was pretty deafening in Room 2, but could be thought of as free entertainment!

Characterful, very dog-friendly pub, serving good food.

Cheap sausages. Worse thing was the water pressure. When the toilet was flushed in another room our water went cold then stopped. It then came back cold and took time to get warm again. It’s an old building so expect problems.

Staff were very friendly but professional Food was cooked perfectly. Room was clean.

Room needed a bit of TLC, paint peeling off ceiling, massive cobwebs in corners.

Lovely staff.. all was explained and I was shown around and felt looked after the whole time, right through to breakfast the next morning as well! The room had plenty of tea and coffee supplies and decent cup sizes!

No where to hang wet towels after showering and bathroom could have been updated. Bedroom a Lillie bland.

It was convenient to stay here on our travels. Easy to get to. It was great to be able to get a meal in the evening as the weather was awful.

Some people may not like the rough edges such as water stained carpet or radiator which needs sanding down and painting.

I like this pub. It’s the heart of the village and has a really great old fashioned feel. It’s full of character. If the rooms are a bit shabby I don’t mind that. The bathroom is clean and beds very comfortable. Long may it stay as it is and not have a makeover! The staff are smiling and helpful. Food is good at both supper and for breakfast.

The hot water supply to the shower and hand basin, had to run the taps for 10 to 15 minutes before water turned hot. Wasting a lot of water.

The pub seemed to be busy and it was doubtful we were going to have our evening meal there. We did eventually have food but unfortunately the menu wasn't a traditional one, missing many favourites you would assume for a bar meal. Things like sausage burgers and chips were only available as child's menu.

Breakfast was great. Big portions. The room was clean and spacious.

Curtains in my room were "distressed", unable to operate properly and needed maintenance. No bathroom fan and light mould on the blocked bathroom windows as a result.

"Old school" style accommodation, very pleasant. Great breakfast, excellent team of mostly younger staff. Dinner was great too, good bar. Room was a generous size and a pleasant place to stay. Good size bathroom with both bath and modern shower.

A nice friendly welcome on arrival and were shown to our room. The rooms are spotless and have everything you need for a pleasant stay. Everything was explained really well (which door at breakfast) timings etc. Breakfast was really good with lovely friendly service. A really nice place to stay and we'll likely stay there again when we're next in that part of Cornwall.

There could have been a full length mirror in the room so you assess your outfit as a whole. A fixed mirror on the table or the wall near a plug would help one see what you were doing while blow drying your hair.

The bed was very comfortable. There was a good range of breakfast options. I appreciated that we could have dinner at the Old Inn and not have to go out again after a full day visiting family.
