It on a busy road and rooms during the evening can be noisy from pub.below. It dies down considerably before 9pm so quite good. No on-suite baths, read the hotel facilities. Manager is not always available to check you in but other staff members are on hand.

It was quaint and I did appreciate the history behind the pub. Beds are very comfortable.

There is music played from the courtyard just below the room up until about 11/11:30 pm (this was on a Monday) but after that it was quiet and I had a good night's sleep without any disturbances. The bed wasn't the comfiest but I still had a good nights sleep.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The bedroom was exceptionally clean. Two shared bathrooms available so I didn't have any problem with having to share. The bathroom was kept exceptionally clean and the shower is very good. Very good value for money. I would definitely stay again.

The music was quite loud outside and I wasn’t given much warning that this was happening on a Monday night.

Fabulous historical pub. Loved the quirky layout and feel of the place. The staff were fabulous to deal with.

noise from the courtyard, no bedside lamp, would be nice to maybe get more toiletries like shampoo and maybe hair dryer as well.

The Old Crown is the oldest pub in Birmingham, it is a very cute old traditional building. Pub is amazing and rooms were OK. Very steep stairs up to the rooms, shared bahtroom was nice and clean. The only thing you have to expect is the noise coming from the pub and courtyard. If you are planning to go to bed early, you won't sleep :) It can get pretty noisy.

The walls between the rooms are very thin - I could hear the conversation on the other side rather clearly.

The bed - super comfortable! The window was rather thin, but my room was pleasantly toasty even in cold weather anyway. Music in the pub downstairs was played loud as expected - but I was happy to notice that always around midnight it would be phased out. I didn't even need the earplugs to sleep :)

room was above kitchen, the greasy smell on our clothes took some time to disappear. The music from the surrounding venues kept us awake on Friday night. The wall is thin to the next room.

The noise. I didn't realise the single glazed room would overlook a beer garden with music blaring till 12.30.

The room did smell like oil you get from a chippy. But, enjoyed stay so much so didn’t mind.

It’s lively, with great staff and seems the heart of Birmingham city centre. It’s a great price for city centre and what a venue!

Not really a massive issue but we were told check out at 10am, however when we went down stairs there was no one to give the keys to so we had to leave them on the bar.

It is a lovely pub! The staff were friendly, the room was fantastic value for money and it was clean. It's in a brilliant location for going out in Digbeth. Would definitely stay again!

Didn't like that after 1am the main door to the pub, which is the way to the accommodation is closed, and you have to wonder in the dark for the back door, because there's no clear sign to indicate it. Also, no one responded to the phone when I called, trying to find said door. In the morning, no one was in the bar to check the guests out and again no one was picking up the phone, so hard to know where to leave the key.

The room was very nice, clean. The bathrooms as well. The atmosphere in the pub was friendly, good music, nice people.

Wasn't an issue but breakfast is not available. Im sure food can be picked up locally. All in all - no complaints.

Stayed in the hotel / pub because it was so old and looked great. Room was large and the bed was very comfortable. I booked one night and really enjoyed it. Plan a return visit and stay for longer. Really cool too. Food available in the evening in pub downstairs. I have stayed in pubs before and the noise has been a nightmare. Its unreasonable to expect no noise from a pub - I certainly had no concerns with noise during my stay. I was also able to leave my bag for a few hours - really important for travellers using public transport and wanting to explore without lugging bags everywhere.
