Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomDoor entry system to front door failed on Saturday night out and we were locked out with no out of hours service. Fortunately it was not late and after banging on the door for a while another resident let us in. The owner did respond the following morning to apologise. Had this not happened would have rated higher. The entrance hall was untidy with builders materials
Apartment is well appointed comfortable and clean and in a good location for access to the town with parking close by. Communication prior to arrival was very good.

ItalyThe wifi was not working properly. After contacting the host I got access to another wifi, but it was slow and was stopping at times, but I was away most of the time so it wasn't a super big deal.
The room was more spacious than I expected, everything was clean in the room, the TV worked well. There were clean sheets and towels. There were some basics in the kitchen like salt, pepper, tea and coffee. The hosts were not present at the property but they responded to text messages right away and were very nice. The location was also good with a 10-minute walk to the train station.

United KingdomI felt the bed mattress was a bit too springy. I think I found all the springs on my back apart from that the carpet in my particular room could’ve done with a clean. I think I’ve met very nice. I did like the things they had in the bedroom. could’ve had better parking for disabled.

AustraliaA few extra pieces of dining ware would have been good. Only 3 each spoons, knives and forks. 2 glasses and 1 wineglass. We had to wash every item we used immediately or there wouldn’t be any for next time. Also, the mattress needs replacing. Very thin and soft.
We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was plenty big enough for two people. Lovely leather lounges, nice dining area and bonus washing machine.
