The directions to the car park could include a line emphasising to use the NCP car park and NOT the Q car park that you arrive at first. I wasn’t the only one to make that costly parking mistake and a line in the parking directions could prevent that!!!

Drinks in the bar. Not cheap but probably no worse than equivalent bars in the area

Standard double rooms on the small size and a strange shape is the only negative really.

Great location. Friendly staff. Very nice hotel. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Felt breakfast at £25 pp a bit excessive so ate out.

Everything is stated above. The other parts of the stay that we would like to comment on is the experience of arriving. The building, the decor and the room was great (except for a view of a dirty roof outside). There should have been water on arrival but there were no glasses left and it wasn't as fresh with ice as it was when we saw it on arrival for other people whilst passing. There was also a dirty plate with food on the side near our room from when we arrived (11am) and it was still there when we go back to the room (around 11pm!).

The breakfast was lovely, however the waitresses professionalism varied depending on who we had. Someone was very attentive during the dinner we had but during breakfast, the lady we had took quite a long time to offer us tea and coffee and so eventually we had to call her over. There was no jam left so we also had to ask for them to top that up. The selection of extras were nice too. We were also allowed to check in sooner which was great. The bar tenders were brilliant also! And one of the best pina coladas I've ever had!

The property was beautiful. The hotel has retained a lot of the old features of the building which we loved. It was exceptionally clean and smelt beautiful wherever we went in the hotel. The hotel had a very calming atmosphere and the staff were very attentive.

Maybe a tad pricey but that being said we would stay again for a special occasion.

We stayed for one night for our first wedding anniversary. The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, spotless and the service is amazing! Our room was lovely, comfy bed, very clean and had a lovely anniversary plate upon our arrival and at dinner. We arrived early and came to drop off bags but they found an empty room the same as we had booked and got us in early which was really appreciated. We booked dinner at the restaurant and had cocktails at the bar, everything was amazing from the service, to the food and drinks.

I read the reviews before requesting some birthday balloons to go in the room, I didn't go ahead because of all the bad reviews, it is understandable of them to perhaps forget as the hotel is absolutely huge, but they did leave a happy birthday message with some cakes in our room upon arrival as I stated we had a birthday when we booked so I would say I had a good experience different to the bad ones on here so maybe to see for yourself. :)

The location was perfect, it was a couple minute walk into the town/shopping centre, also minutes in a taxi away from the locations we went too for food and drinks. The hotel was in such good condition with no faults, they also left us a birthday treat in the room upon arrival. The bar was open until late and the staff were super friendly there too.

    Nothing, literally nothing.

In 6 weeks travelling around Europe, this would have to be one of the best treasures we came across. The hotel has been beautifully and sensitively renovated. The room with it's high ceiling was delightful with lovely touches like the vintage telephone. We got the bed, breakfast and dinner package and the food was wonderful. The atrium was brilliant to find a quiet place for a drink and all the staff were helpful and accommodating. As long as you're across which carpark to park in (they give you ample warning, NCP Moorfields-the Yellow one in red brick building, NOT the first one you come to) you will have no complaints.
