I appreciate that the Mouse Trap did not open until 3 P.M. but it have been helpful to have the front door open to deposit bags. However, when subsequently entering through the rear door the Lady in Charge was most helpful and polite. I realise that maintenance work was being undertaken but when Booking prior notice should have been given relevant to parking in the British Legion Car Park. Would have avoided a lot of frustration. Finally NO Lounge Area to enjoy a quiet drink after dinner. Had to attend the Pub up the road.

Breakfast was good and the Lady serving Excellent but why could the Chef not provide the exact order. I appreciate that the Chef tried to provide a substantial breakfast but if the order is for One Egg why provide Two Eggs. Room was adequate. Shower was small and leaked due to the drain not being cleaned. Dinner was satisfactory.

My room was very small, I didn’t have room to comfortably open my suitcase and the shower was very tiny but none of these points caused any trouble. Limited parking

Unfortunately, for us, the bed was way too hard. The room was a little tired but renovations following a fire are ongoing so we could understand that resources were probably diverted elsewhere

Bedrooms very small and very tired need a lot of TLC but that has started by the look of it with kitchen. Staff to be fair are working under some difficulties because of the kitchen but trying their very best

Breakfast was lovely. Bar in the evening very friendly we chatted to many customers in the night. Lovely atmosphere and food looked good even through we did nt book the restaurant. We ate earlier in the day.

Nothing to dislike.

A delightful old inn. The room was nice - comfy bed and a good shower. Breakfast was delicious and we had an evening meal which was fantastic. The biggest recommendation is the staff - everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. A really excellent team. We hope to return.

The room was too hot and the thermostat could not be adjusted, so we ended up sleeping with the windows open, which was not ideal in February. The bed was not especially comfortable for us, but this is highly subjective.

The location was excellent, though parking was a slight challenge due to ongoing renovations. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere inside the bar on a Friday night was very inviting.

The room was outside adjoining a temporary building, there are some renovations undergoing and there were problems with the bathroom facilities Once these have all been resolved it would be very pleasant

The breakfast . Had the veggie breakfast. The food arrived cold. The middle of the food was fridge temperature. The tomatoes tasted of gas/stove.

The location was fabulous. Easy point to walk into the village and access the walking routes

The only complaint is that the dining and drinking area was very cold.No heating on and it is February.
