They didn't change all towels or the cups in the room during the daily room service... Hotel carpets are very very old !

Location is the main reason to book this hotel. Hot breakfast was good.

The location was great, not our 1st time here. Will be back for sure. Staff are friendly rooms are clean. The room was hot, but we had a fan in the room already provided.

The shower was push button so you only get around 30 seconds of water. In the morning there was no hot water so couldn't even attempt a shower

Old building, but comfy and a brilliant location

    • Triple Room

No parking, access by car difficult, so checking in with a lot of luggage would be difficult. Situated right next door to a church, so expect bell ringing on a Sunday, but our room at the back was relatively quiet

Excellent location right in the city centre, next to a very busy pub, so very lively, nice breakfast.

The shower and bathroom sink are push button operated, and have to be turned back on frequently. Annoying if you want to have a proper shower. This property wouldn’t suit someone with mobility issues, lots of stairs and they are very steep.

Comfortable and great location. The rooms were nicely styled. Good for a one night stay, and great value for money.

Shower pressure wasn’t great and the room was very warm (fan provided though and just very hot weather which couldn’t be helped).

Location was fab, right in city centre but close to train station and trams stations. The staff were friendly, room was spacious, beds very comfy. All you can eat breakfast buffet was tasty. Bar/restaurant had a great atmosphere and all staff were really friendly. The room was quite warm but a fan was provided by the hotel which was good. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends staying for a short trip for reasonably priced accommodation with breakfast included!

The floorboards did creek a lot but that’s due to the building being so old, rooms could maybe do with a fresh lick of paint and fix ups.

Loved the history and location of this hotel! Great price and had a room with a view of The Cathedral.

Only 1 area of plug sockets and all electricals were at the other end of the room (iron, fan, kettle, lamp) so had to ask for a lead extension. Very thin and only 1 toilet roll

The room was a bit smaller than perhaps the photo suggested, only room for one bedside table (which was responsible for coffee/tea making facilities, iron, lamp etc), with ironing board and fan lent against a wall. The bathroom was very very tight, I don't consider myself a large/tall person but I did struggle sometimes and felt if I was staying for long than one night i wouldn't consider staying again unless I could be assured it wasn't this room (36)

Great location, easy access to car park, tram and centre of town. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was good, as was the view out the window.
