Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe doors to all the rooms need to be oiled. They squeaked when opening/closing, and brought my mother and I out of sleep when one was opened. The restroom had less than half a roll of toilet paper when we arrived, and there was no replacement rolls under the sink. We left a message about the issue, as between the three of us, the roll was shrinking rapidly. We swiped a roll from the restaurant we had dinner at (shhhhh, don't tell them. =D hahaha) and it was a good thing we did. They didn't get back to the B&B until later in the evening, and we had started using the stolen roll. She apologized and made sure the restroom had spare rolls under the sink, and we didn't have any further issues.
This was a nice B&B. It is located on a main road, which made it easy to get to restaurants and sites during our stay. Our rooms were on the back side, so we didn't have any traffic noise during our stay. Be forewarned, parking is in the back, and the alley between the buildings to parking is very narrow. If you don't have experience driving in these narrow alleys, you may want to park on the street. I have experience with it, but decided to park on the street anyway, which I found to be more convenient.

United KingdomWe thought we were going to a small hotel not a Bed & Breakfast. The entry to the parking spot at the rear of the building was quite tight. I made it without too much trouble but on the second time I scaped my car. Visitors should be warned. You have to manovre from a busy road through a smallish gap. I have a slightly larger than average car and scraped the door.
The hostess and the breakfast were both very good. The cooked part of the breakfast was very good but we had to make our own toast and tea/coffee.

United Kingdom, The only drawback was the slanting roofs in the room and toilet. My husband is over 6ft and found these a challenge as he didn't want to bang his head. He didnt want to complain. If we go back in the future, will ask for a room with no slanting roofs. He ended up utilising the public toilet and shower.
We liked where The Milton was situated. We liked that the room was tidied and cleaned every day.
