2 of the beers weren’t available even though they were in the bar. The food was ok but frozen chips and frozen veg. I had the pie but there wasn’t any gravy available.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was a bit tired and could do with updating. Breakfast served in the bar, would have been much nicer in the dining room. Smoked salmon on the breakfast menu but when I chose it I was told that they didn't have any.

    Good location, friendly staff.

    nothing to be negative about

We had an overnight stay and with the onsite restaurant that was very convenient. The accommodation was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was also wholesome with a nice breakfast. The weather was poor on our visit which made the views from the Hotel a bit bleak. On a sunny day the views and location of the hotel are excellent.

The bedrooms were very small, so was the bed. The bed was so small where my husband couldn't fit on it. Luckily there were 2 bedrooms, so he slept in the double bed size and I slept in the single bedroom. Because the living room and bedroom are in different level, so was the bathroom. Whenever you want to get water for making coffee, always need to climb the stairs, constantly going up and down the stairs.

The bedrooms and living room are in separate level and access with stairs, interesting setup. The house came with history. The restaurant has a beautiful view. The living room was spacious.

Evening staff not up to par Poor stock levels of draught beers /lagers (said they had been busy but not really acceptable) Evening meal of fish and chips... Peas were cold, obviously frozen chips used In the room difficult to work out heaters (no information sheets there) Hotel not really suitable for those with mobility problems (no hand rails in toilet /lots of stairs)

Room was clean and comfortable Was a suite so it was nice to have a separate seating area Shower was very good Breakfast was good

No staff available when I arrived. No attention to the front garden, even though the hotel history highlights the feature. They need to pay a gardener to recreate the landscape. I said I could not make breakfast and the offered to supply a packed sandwich. When I left in the morning nothing was supplied. Breakfast only available from 8am is odd when you are trying to cater for hill walkers and sightseeing.

    The location was great.

The location overlooking the loch. The staff were exceptional, Duncan was so obliging, and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. He was so friendly, a real asset to the hotel. The food was great. We all had a curry and thoroughly enjoyed them. We will definitely return.

dinner was cold and had to be remade, breakfast was funny... we were brought toast, and had to ask for knives, plates and butter, pancakes were nice, room was quite nice, the curtains were as useful as a chocolate teapot, but overall, the place was nice, just not very organized.

There was no fridge in the kitchen area. The hotel corridors were cold. There was no direct access from the hotel to the adjoining bar. There was a notice on the front door of the hotel saying that no hot food can be brought into the hotel during the evening meal times.

The suite was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff was very friendly. We did not eat in the hotel in the evening and therefore cannot comment on the quality of the food.

It is a 120 year old property , so expect it to be dated but retains its old world charm . Seems it had been undergoing some refurbishment work and toilets have been modernised .

Excellent location . Superb views from front rooms . Very friendly and welcoming staff . Especially would like to mention Daniel , who really tried to go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable . Fantastic Indian food and also choices of continental foods as well . Breakfast was superb .
