Not great value as the room size was very small, but then we only spent our nights in there !

The room was a little cramped, but I was only needing a bed for one night so not really a problem. Would be an issue if you had a large suitcase. Not much space to hang clothes if you were staying for a few days.

The location was good for me. Very convenient for Salisbury City centre.

Signposting around the building, something of a rabbit warren!

Plenty of character. Quite good location for central Salisbury. Walkable to all amenities.

The hotel would be better if it served supper. Many pubs and restaurants close early leaving very few options. Your chef was tremendous and I would bet on him delivering a wonderful evening meal!

The staff was wonderful - very helpful and friendly. Also, breakfast was exceptionally good!

    - The bar closed at 11pm (a later license would have been a bonus). - I was asked to book breakfast if I wanted it by 9pm the night before (as I went out and didn't get back before 11pm I missed the breakfast cut-off point - I've never been to a hotel that has asked you to pre-book breakfast)! - Room 206 the shower part of the bathroom didn't work, I could only get the water to come out of the taps (so a bath it was)!

Great location, quiet rooms, lovely decor. The bar was lovely too.

Be warned that there is no elevator and the room layout is an up/down rabbit warren.

Lovely staff and fantastic breakfast service. Eggs prepared fresh to order! My bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a heated towel rail and full shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I like the little touches.

Tap water in the complimentary water bottle!! what's the point? Mineral or at the least flitered would have been nice . I was in 2 rooms due to my own booking incompetence, and the first room couldn't open the window... but only very minor points...

Great location - got a parking spot....nice, clean, good hotel - reception and the team were very good. Stayed in 2 different rooms as I had mistakenly not booked long enough intially and they were very good - moved my bags over etc...

Although the hotel was very clean and tidy, the floors are incredibly creaky! Perhaps not so bad if staying with a partner but a bit embarrassing having to sneak around trying not to wake a friend whilst going to the toilet in the night!

Great location and very friendly staff. Breakfast was also very good and all at a very reasonable price.

The bathroom layout was poor. There is plenty of space for the bathroom but for some strange reason the bath is in the middle of the space and the ceiling is a little low for over-the-bath shower (but my 6'2 husband managed for the one night). This leaves a narrow access to the toilet and the sink and the toilet is sat in a narrow space itself. The bathroom would make a fabulous wet room with the shower at one end. Other than the layout, the bathroom was very clean and functional.

We stayed in the Alfred Bowley room and the room was beautiful. Very comfy bed, spacious and quiet at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious too and staff very friendly. The hotel is also in a great location for the city centre with ample parking in the multi-storey across the road.

It’s very minor, but by the time we ate breakfast there were a number of things running in short supply and they weren’t topped up. That being said, we still had plenty to eat.

Lovely room, great flexibility in allowing us to check in early, very clean and very courteous staff.

Central location close to shops and restaurants (and the cathedral). Very friendly and helpful staff. I even got a free beer for signing up to Best Western. Large and comfortable room. Nice bathroom and shower was great. I left too early each day to get the breakfast, but based on the overall high quality of the hotel, I assume it is excellent. I'd definitely stay again.

Odd room: suspect others may be better. Room straight out on to a courtyard: far too hot when we arrived and no means of ventilation as no window to open. Air conditioning fine but noise of it means not possible to keep on during the night.

    Breakfast quite good.
