The walk back from the town centre was not very long but quite steep.

The staff were very friendly, great views and the food was excellent. The room was clean and pleasant. The location was convenient for the main attractions but slightly out of the centre of town so away from the hustle and bustle. The car park was an added convenience.

A pleasant stay in Lyme, marred somewhat by overpricing and the room not being made up.

Overpriced for a mid January break for what it was, which was a pleasant, clean 'mid-star' hotel. The room wasn't made up in the morning inspite of us requesting this. This seems to have become the norm in the post covid world.

Breakfast was very good, location was good - only a short walk to Lyme Regis town and the esplanade.

Not much to dislike at all . It was a bit chilly but it has been an usually cold spell of late

The hotel was well placed ,it had a free car park opposite, all the staff were friendly and very helpful . The food was good, the breakfast was exceptional.

it was a little bit cold but the electric heater in the room soon warmed it up.

easy to find and park, fantastic location, staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and clean and the shower was lovely and warm. Quiet location even on the main road.

Dinner was good, although the naan bread I had with my curry wasn't a proper naan. Otherwise great.

The room and facilities were as advertised. the only issue was that the walls were pretty thin, so we could hear easily people in nearby rooms (and presumably they could hear us - we brough two dogs and one of them was disturbed and barked a couple of times!). The staff were outstanding - all of those we came into contact with.

That we couldn't stay another night! If they had a room available we definitely would have stayed a second night. Only other slight negative is the drafty windows, very noisy with a winter storm going on outside but it didn't bother us too much.

Great location just a 5 min walk up from the town centre. The room size was plenty for a family of four with dog in tow. Beds were very comfortable, heaters worked very well and the teas, coffees, etc provided in the room were good too. Breakfast the next day was great, lots on offer and very tasty, great way to start the day.

We thought the room would be cold as when we arrived the heater was off. We put it on while we went out for dinner and was toasty when we got back. Good idea really not to waste heating before we arrived.

Breakfast was superb, location very good. Warm welcome from the hosts was the best . Generally a very nice experience.

one or two 'end of season' things to mention... an electrical plate in the bathroom needs reattaching. The TV fixings could do with checking (TV slid off vertical at one point)

a warm welcome and willing staff. I loved eating my curry by a wonderful log fire... a real plus! My room had a lovely view towards the town and sea. Beautiful. My bed was very comfy and the tea bags were good quality. I asked for fresh milk and it arrived imediately poached eggs at breakfast cooked to perfection.. My little dog was made equally welcome... with a blanket to sit on. and treats.

My only issue was with the pillows in my room; I found them rather hard. No problems with the bed, just the pillows.

I've found the Mariners to be a pleasant, friendly place and they have been very good in accommodating my needs with parking, etc. They do breakfast and evening meals, so I don't have to worry about getting food in town.
