The only reason I didn't give it a 10 - apart from the fact that nothing is perfect in life - is that, living in France, we find prices in England rather high, this is not a comment on their prices in particular.

We loved everything basically - especially the home cooked breakfast in my case. The couple running the place are delightful and very helpful. Highly recommended. You can park easily in front of the house too.

It is quite a long way out of the town centre. However, there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance near the station. Driving down to the seafront and parking up proved rather difficult. Which is not the fault of Anne and John of course.

A really cozy retreat on our travels. What a beautiful home and you become part of it from the moment you arrive. Anne and John go out of their way to fulfill every wish of the guest. Breakfast was fantastic and very flexible. All products fresh and of the best quality. Being the only guests at the time, we could park our car in the drive. Very convenient.

I had the best time here with my friend. The house was very nice, very close to the train station and the sea, quiet, and pleasant! The experience far exceeded our expectations. The luckiest part of the whole trip was discovering the Manse house. Anne was very lively and helpful with her advice on our trip. John was very patient, showing us the room in detail, and the breakfast was super delicious. If a five-star hotel experience is great, I'd say the Manse is worth 10 stars. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely welcome from the owners, the house is spectacular and our room was gorgeous. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and we both slept well. Breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit and then a hot option to suit us both. Will definitely come here again when we visit family. Highly recommend!

Location was superb-residential but walkable to restaurants and on West side of Eastbourne which suited us. Lovely coastal walks within a few minutes drive and parking available. Lovely cotton bedding and towels, quality furnishings and all comforts in room -even sweets and biscuits! Hosts were wonderfully welcoming, informative and did everything they could to please. Superb breakfasts.

I had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to return. The room was beautiful and the bedroom and bathroom were sparkling clean. Everything you need and more - yummy biscuits, bottled water and fresh milk in the fridge (which I really appreciated as long life milk tastes awful in my opinion). The breakfast was delicious- a wide range of cereals including home made muesli and granola (yum), fruit and yoghurt, lots of choice for cooked breakfast also. And of course toast with John’s yummy homemade jam and marmalade. I was made to feel so welcome. Thank you!!

Nothing, except that the toilet in the room we stayed was difficult to flush at times, but Anne did say the bathroom is getting an upgrade very soon. This was a minor issue, nothing to complain about.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Manse! John and Anne were very welcoming, friendly and are happy to cater to your individual needs. Breakfast was lovely, with nice choices. Fruit available was delicious as was the cooked breakfasts. Anne and John are very accomodating with any dietary requirements. Very friendly atmosphere, with lots of tips on best places to visit etc. Lots of printed maps available to borrow, whether you decide to explore locally or further afield. Cant wait to return! Thank you John and Anne!

The bed is good but can still be improved.

The two host are very welcoming and kind people. The prepared a fabolous breakfast and gave US plenty of advices. The room is very coosy. The Place Is 10 minutes walk from downtown. Many food and fun options in the neighbourhood. Possibility to park easily
