When we went for breakfast there was hardly anything left. We had the choice of corn flakes as cereal. No spoons for cereal, no butter, no knives. I was in the process of cleaning a knife from a dirty table when the housekeeper came in and I asked her for all the items that were missing. She did replenish all the items including a choice of 5 cereals. The housekeeper as well as cleaning the rooms, dealing with the dinning room and kitchen also checked us out. Could do with another member of staff around not just a number to call.

The lady on reception when we checked in was lovely. We felt that she was welcoming us into her house. The hotel was in a lovely location so quiet and not far to get into Perth.

1st room had been smoked in with a strong smell but we were quickly moved to another which was fresh and clean Breakfast was continental, last time we stayed it was a cooked breakfast and hot meals were served at night but the restaurant was closed for winter meaning we had to drive back to town for food. Had we known we would have eaten before heading to the lodge.

We stayed before and the restaurant served meals and the bar was open. We arrived and were not aware the kitchen was closed for Winter and the bar was also closed. The staff member explained their kitchen opens in April again and if we wanted to use the bar at all he would open it for us. Breakfast last time was a cooked breakfast and this time it was continental which we also were not aware of, but I guess all this was reflected in the lower price we paid compared to our last visit, it just would have been nice to know as it is a drive back to town to get food. Our room as soon as we entered, unfortunately, had a noticeable stong smell of a previous occupant having smoked in the room which the staff advised had been an issue previously and instantly offered us another room which was fresh and clean. We enjoyed a peaceful and comfortable stay and will stay again as we visit the area frequently.

The sign could be a bit bigger to find the hotel at night, a lot of roadworks made it hard to see where we going and the sign was very small, but apart from that couldn’t complain.

The room was huge, and the bed was very comfy! The gent on reception was lovely; very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel itself was very clean and modern, would definitely book again.

Breakfast was sparse and no-one was in attendance. Felt like it was leftovers from previous customers. Little disappointing and meagre choices.

Loads of parking. Clean room with all sundries required. Beds comfortable, bathroom clean, room very modern and well maintained. Quiet location. Staff friendly and helpful.

The night I stayed there was considerable noise from the heating system which was going to have attention from an engineer the day after my stay, again at the time of my stay early Jan 24there was major roadworks meaning a diversion that the sat nav didn't pick up on and the roadworks were not clearly signed for the property. Neither of these issues are a fault of the property in fairness just bad timing but if travelling early 24 i think the roadworks will still be an issue

Staff lovely and friendly, happy to deal with any question, property is in a nice quiet location conveniently close to Perth, beds and room were comfy and clean, decent TV including phone access for streaming :)

There was no opportunity to lock the room from the inside (the lock was electronically) so we felt insecure, also because we were the only customers at that night and the location is very remote.

The restaurant evening meal was awful, very expensive for what seemed no more than a microwave meal . Steak pie and watery microwave mash with value frozen veg and not the seasonal veg and creamy mash as described on the menu.

Everything felt fresh and new, breakfast was lovely and included in the price

Not the staff on hand's fault, but there seemed to be changes to catering etc. which led to no wine at all available, surely management could have authorised a trip to a supermarket for a few bottles? On the other hand, the gin and whiskey was just fine! The staff had to apologise for the dodgy dishwasher and glasswasher, which left stains baked on to most crockery and glasses. Breakfast ticked the menu boxes but the actual quality and choice were basic, apart from the choice of infusions of tea.

The staff were great, couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The menu was a bit limited but what we chose was good. The room was comfortable. And it was lovely and quiet.

No draught beers/lagers. Didnt have lot of choice of drink . Ran out of things. Bit set out like cafe bar not hotel lounge.. All tables had cutlery n condiments on so were unsure of where to sit. Chef called in sick resulting in manager cooking breakfast. Most of it ok except eggs burnt n tattie scone burnt. Ran out tattie scones also. Also cold meat and cheese out on table with heater behind so meat and cheese sweating and going soft. Not enough staff on in morning. Poor boy doing waiter orders and reception.. Very quiet although few guests were there . No one used bar. Bit far out. Taxi to Perth 13.50. Didnt do lunch had food available after 5. Menu very basic.

Place was spotless. Rooms good size . Breakfast good choice . Continental . Help yourself to tea, coffe, juice, butter, jam, yoghurts, fruit n cheese cereal and toast. Got choice of hot breakfast. Staff were all very helpful and polite. Ordered us a taxi to perth.

The wi-fi was down because of roadworks. Roadworks meant long way round to get to Scone Palace. I had stayed there because it should have been close! Bar was poorly stocked and cooked breakfast not great.

Room was clean and comfortable bed. Pleasant outlook from dining room. Helpful and friendly staff.

Nothing to not like about it. Will be back for sure.

Lovely wee hotel with a nice bar area and plenty seating outside to enjoy the fresh air. Room was spotless and spacious. Plenty room to store luggage etc. Huge bed and nice powerful shower to wake you in the morning. Breakfast was great with good quality produce and lots of fresh coffee, yogurts, fruit etc. Dairy milk alternatives in the fridge so you don’t have to wait or ask for them which is a nice touch. Definitely value for money. The staff were all really friendly, helpful and cheery. Haggis the wee doggo gave me a warm welcome and took me for a walk around the grounds. Definitely employee of the month for me lol. Great location as only around 15 mins to centre of Perth or 5 mins from Scone Palace and other local attractions.

Younger staff were poorly trained and reluctant to help. Housekeeping was practically non-existent. 2 days out of our 4, no housekeeping in our room. Young male receptionist insisted beds are not made up and towels only changed when you leave. That's all very well for one night stays but not if you're there longer. Thank goodness for the lady receptionist. No receipts available when paying card. Room was not clean. The place needs a good deep clean and maintenance need to fix windows, clean fan in bathroom. Radiator rusted and would not put a towel on it. Needless to say we won't be back. So so disappointing.

Lady receptionist was great. Couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was nice.
