Our room had a velux in the ceiling and it needed a clean, not an easy job though!

Aww we loved everything about Little John, fantastic location, lovely room, fab breakfast and the staff were so kind, helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend and will return!

The items for the hot breakfast were not very hot. As a vegetarian I had beans or tomatoes on toast and both were not very warm at all.

Accommodation was very comfortable and clean..Staff super friendly and evening meals excellent.

Breakfast although plenty of choice was lukewarm and some items were nearly cold , the skylight in our room ( twin ) has no blind so soaks the room with light in the early hours

Staff were very helpful and friendly, room was clean other than the floor, bathroom and towels were immaculate, good evening food had a Chinese one night which was also very nice, the breakfast was a buffet and there was plenty of choice, hotel is in a great location

Little bit of noise until the bar closed but to be expected.

£77 for a double on-suite room with breakfast for 2 is a great deal, you know what your getting for that. The room was clean, tidy & comfy, the breakfast was pretty good to.

Breakfast is a great meal at the Little John Hotel, casual, friendly, and plenty of food, if you like walking in the hills then the location is excelent. This is probably the sixth time we have visited, and we will be going back again

Windows were hard to open or not at all, so it became very hot and we didn't sleep well.

Very noisy late at night but for a town centre pub that had to be expected.

Allowed dogs although ours hated the steep stairs and had to be carried up and down. Good breakfast buffet

It didn't affect the quality of the stay, but the ground floor was quite dim on daylight and the sofas weren't very comfortable. Also the parking felt a bit tight during peak hours.

Shout out to Tom on reception that made the whole check-in and experience very warm and welcoming. We stayed in one of the cottages, 2 couples and 2 dogs. The place was spacious and comfortable, with comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. The sound of the running river by the window was an added bonus.

We had booked a double room with en suite & breakfast, on arrival we were upgraded to a small cottage, which was a surprise, but very nice, staff were very friendly and helpful.

Easy to find in centre of village. Spacious room, immaculately clean. Large comfortable bed. Lots of plugs. Nice sofa and a very good television. Very good shower room with nice towels. Nice bar for families - not noisy. Breakfast excellent. Self service with very good range of good quality produce. Excellent value for money. I would stay again.

Nothing really at all. The bed could do with some bedside lamps.

This is a great quirky pub in the centre of the village. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped with a tea tray AND biscuits. The pillows were amazing. There was no noise from the pub in our room which was Alan A’dale. The pub itself does fabulous food with an in house Chinese too. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice. Would highly recommend.

Twin room was a bit small though fine for one. Double room was very comfortable.

A bit of heating in the evenings would have been nice. But I understand that should not have needed it in MAY!!

I was very happy with my upgrade to a cottage. Breakfast was really good and of high quality. The initial welcome was very friendly and helpful.
