Menu was extensive but quite samey. My wife would have appreciated more chicken than just a chicken burger. Having to wash my car owing to needing to park under the rooks nesting tree was another no no. There was a notice but when the car park is full where do you go? This needs addressing in a £200 a night property. The room was rather small with height restrictions on one side of the bed.

Location was good. Staff generally excellent.

Lovely pub in a lovely village. The room we booked was a cosy double which was lovely but small however we got upgraded to a character room at no extra charge and this was beautiful. No noise at all so a great night's sleep in extra large comfy bed. Had an evening meal there and the food was excellent as was the breakfast. Great place to stay if doing Malham Cove walk. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I really cannot think of anything that could have been improved - excellent!

Rooms were very cosy and beautifully decorated. Bed was especially comfortable. Lovely to have access to a flask of milk for teas / coffee All meals were great in the restaurant and staff very friendly. Breakfast was always enjoyable with a friendly greeting from the elderly gentleman who sorted us gluten free toast.

The evening meals were disappointing. The sea bass I can get better in London, better cooked, and half the price. It was too dry and salty. Curry and madras potatoes are not a good combination - rice would be better. My fault for not noticing this on the menu, but I didn't feel confident that this could be changed in the kitchen at the last moment.

a very comfortable hotel with helpful staff. A relaxed atmosphere.
